Blair Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 15, 1958, at 12:10 a.m., after an extended illness. The deceased was born on November 13, 1873, at McConnellstown, a daughter of Washington and Martha Elizabeth (Snyder) Lang. She was united in marriage to Thomas M. Heffner who preceded her in death on December 15, 1944. She was a member of the Huntingdon Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She is survived by one son and three daughters: Raymond A. Heffner and Mrs. Albert Huey, both of McConnellstown; Miss Dorothy R. Heffner of Altoona; and Mrs. W.R. Grove of Juniata. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. Mrs. Heffner was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be directed by the Laughlin funeral home in McConnellstown. The Rev. Edward Berkey will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Benjamin Grove, a grandson of the deceased. Interment will be made in the McConnellstown Cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Agnes Hess of Little Valley, Todd Township, Saxton R.D., was found dead in her bed this Thursday morning, December 29, 1955. Death occurred unexpectedly about 1 a.m. today. She had been under the care of a physician for several years. The deceased was born October 27, 1882, at Six Mile Run, a daughter of Enoch and Hannah (Sweet) Howells. She was united in marriage to Edmund L. Hess on August 16, 1903. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1954. Mrs. Hess was of the Methodist faith. Two sons, Glenn and Earl Hess of Little Valley, survive. She is also survived by two grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Thomas Howells of Dudley and one sister, Mrs. Priscilla Weiser of Juniata. Services are under the direction of Huff funeral service of Saxton. The Rev. Joseph A. Wagner will officiate and interment will be in the Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run. George Walter Hess of 52 Eighth St., Everett, died February 20, 1959, at his late residence at 6 p.m. He was born May 28, 1892, in Entriken, a son of Samuel and Martha (Querry) Hess. On October 17, 1912, he was married to Lena Crisswell. Surviving are his wife and the following children: C. Homer Hess, Everett R.D.2; Albert H. Hess, Aliquippa; H. Ross Hess, Everett R.D.2; George A.Hess, Everett; Mrs. Margaret Ritchey, Everett R.D.3; Walter Hess, Jr., Hopewell R.D.1; and Lester N. Hess, Everett. There are 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are one brother, Samuel B. Hess of McConnellstown; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller of Lewistown, Mrs. Nancy Swartz of Altoona and Mrs. Charles Crisswell of Williamsburg. Mr. Hess was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and had worked for many years on the Huntingdon and Broad Top and the Everett Railroad. He served as track foreman for both railroads. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ of Everett of which he was a deacon and a faithful member. The Rev. Clarence E. Whetstone will officiate and interment will be in the Everett Cemetery, under the direction of the Stewart funeral service, Everett. Harry Hess of Entriken died at 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, 1957, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Entrekin in Entriken. He had been ill for the past three weeks. He was born on September 23, 1870 in Entriken, a son of John and Elizabeth (Ruppel) Hess. He was married to Martha Cunningham who preceded him in death on August 20, 1940. Mr. Hess is survived by three sons: Herman Hess of Riddlesburg; Glenn Hess of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Roy Hess of Aitch; and one daughter, Mrs. H.T. (Dorothy) Entrekin of Entriken. There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Entriken. A carpenter by trade, he was employed by the Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad for 45 years. The Rev. Robert Barroll will officiate and interment will be made in the Entriken Cemetery, under the direction of the Haverstock Memorial Home. Isaac Hess of Columbiana, Ohio, died Friday morning, December 7, 1956. He had suffered a brain hemorrhage and underwent surgery four weeks ago. The deceased was born in Illinois Valley, Pa., on October 1, 1920, a son of Harry and Margaret (Dick) Hess. He was united in marriage to Lois Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher of McConnellstown. Mr. Hess was a veteran of World War II. He enlisted in the service on December 15, 1944, and served as a sergeant in the 145th Infantry Regiment, 37th Division. He served overseas and later was discharged on August 9, 1946. At the time of his death, he had been employed by the Kaiser Aluminum Company of Columbiana. Surviving are his widow; his parents; five Children: Patricia Hess of Philadelphia; Jean, Ronald, Kenneth, and Dennis Hess, all at home; and the following brothers and sisters: Charles Hess and Mrs. Homer (Mae) Hoffamn, Chambersburg; Elmer Hess, Aitch R.D.; Mrs. Andrew (Elizabeth) Ramper, Auburn, New York; William Hess, Cassville; Mrs. Edwin (Olive) Betts, Aitch R.D.; Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Brindle, Saint Thomas; Mrs. Frank (Madeline) Mangold, Philadelphia. The deceased was of the Methodist faith. The Rev. Lester E. Search and Rev. Calvin Kipp will officiate and interment will be made in the Entriken Cemetery, under the direction of the Haverstock Memorial Home in McConnellstown. Mrs. Margaret Reba Hess of Coalmont died Friday, April 24, 1959, at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Hughes of Six Mile Run, R.D. Her death was due to a heart attack. She was born April 4, 1880, at Rockhill Furnace, a daughter of Albert and Mary Katherine (Early) Dick. She was married to Harry Wallace Hess, on October 16, 1898, at Saxton. Her husband is surviving along with the following children: Charles M. Hess, St. Thomas; Mrs. Cloyd (Mae) Hoffman, Saxton R.D.; Elmer D. Hess, Aitch; Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Ramper, Auburn, N.Y.; William A. Hess, Casville R.D.; Mrs. Edwin (Olive) Betts, Aitch R.D.; Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Brindle, St. Thomas; and Mrs. Frank (Madeline) Mangold, Philadelphia. One son preceded her in death. There are 44 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Mary L. Hess of Coalmont; Mrs. Edward (Rhoda) Swartz of Robertsdale; Mrs. William (Alda) Hughes, of Six Mile Run; Mrs. Lee (Edna) Brumbaugh of Saxton; and one brother, Leo Dick of Coalmont. She was a member of the Newburg Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of the Masood funeral service, Saxton. The Rev. Bruce Cleaver and the Rev. Herbert A. Boyles will officiate and interment will be made in the Saxton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Richard Earl Hess, 17, of Hesston died en-route home from Canton, Ohio, Monday, July 23, 1956, shortly before being admitted to the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. The boy, who had been suffering from a heart condition for the past 10 years, had been visiting his mother in Canton, Ohio, and was on his way home with his grandparents when he died. Richard was born in Hesston on October 3, 1938, a son of Mrs. Eleanor (Hess) Keller of Canton, Ohio. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hess, at Hesston and would have been a junior at Huntingdon Area High School in the fall. He attended the christian and Missionary Alliance Church at Hesston. Surviving are his mother, his grandparents, five aunts and four uncles. The Rev. Reed L. Rogers and the Rev. Neal Rogers will officiate and interment will be in Grove's Cemetery, under the direction of Haverstock Memorial Home, McConnellstown. Sylvester Hoffman, an aged and widely known citizen of Todd Township, passed away at his home on Thursday morning, January 12, 1950. He was a son of John and Josephine (Corcelius) Hoffman, and was born at Dudley on June 15, 1872. At the time of death, he was aged 77 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Lowery on August 30, 1894. Mr. Hoffman was of the Lutheran faith. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Homer C. Hoffman, Mrs. Victor Willison and Mrs. Frank Rogers, all of Saxton, and Mrs. Gail Stiffler of Braddock; one brother and one sister: Christian H. Hoffman, of Dudley and Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher of Harrisburg. Funeral services are under the direction of the Huff funeral chapel in Saxton. The Rev. Charles Whistler will officiate and interment will be made in the Methodist cemetery in Dudley. Mrs. Emma Belle Hood of Erie passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 1956, in Erie. The deceased was born September 13, 1875, near Marklesburg, a daughter of William and Mary Ellen (Fleck) Rodgers. She was united in marriage to David F. Hood. Mrs. Hood spent the greater part of her life in the Huntingdon-Marklesburg area until moving to Erie several years ago. Her husband and two sons, Fay Hood and Lee Hood of Erie survive. Two grandsons, Jack and Jerry Hood, and these two brothers also survive; Jesse Rodgers of Marklesburg and William Rodgers of Erie. Funeral services are under the direction of the Green funeral home in Huntingdon and interment will be made in the Valley View Cemetery near Marklesburg. Lee Hood, of 9030 Perry Highway, Erie, died Monday at 9:05 a.m. at the Verteran Administration Medical Center, Erie, Following a lengthy illness. He was born December 25, 1905 at Huntingdon, the son of David Foster and Emma B. Rodgers Hood. On May 19, 1925 at Ripley, N.Y., he was married to Angie Mary Harper. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Fay Hood of Erie, and two nephews, Jack Hood of Erie and Jerry Hood of Hartford, Ill. He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Erie. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and retired in 1959 from the General Electric plant in Erie. The Rev. Jeffrey W. Tildon will officiate and interment will be made in the Ross Methodist Church Cemetery, Marengo. Mrs. Mable A. Houck of 634 East Bishop Street, Bellefonte, a native of Huntingdon, died t 6:40 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 1957, at her late home. She had been ill but her death was unexpected. The deceased was born in Huntingdon County, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Grove (Snare) Umholtz. In 1923, she was married to Arthur S. Houck who is surviving. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Arthur S. Houck, Jr., of Bellefonte and a daughter, Miss Jean Houck at home. There is one grandson. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mildred Harris of Aitch. Mrs. Houck was a member of the Lutheran Church of Bellefonte. Services are under the direction of the Wetzler funeral home in Bellefonte. The Rev. W.G. McVicker and the Rev. Robert J. Keeler will officiate with interment being in the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Penn Twownship, Huntingdon county. Miss Margaret Marilla Houck of 330 East Fort Street, Shippensburg, died on Tuesday, May 10, 1955, at 6:30 a.m. at the home of her nephew, John T. Hawley, 330 East Fort Street, Shippensburg. The deceased was born at New Grenada on July 20, 1876, a daughter of McKenzie W. and Sarah M. (McClain) Houck. She was a member of the Zion Methodist Church at Waterfall. She is survived by two brothers and one sister: Oscar L. Houck and S. McDowell Houck, both of Robertsdale and Mrs. Queen Benson of Shippensburg. Services are under the direction of the Van Scyoc funeral home at shippensburg. Interment will be made in the Valley Memorial Cemetery in Wells Valley. George F. Houp, Sr., of Aitch R.D.1, died at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Altoona, at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 1958, following an extended illness. He was born in Huntingdon County on August 3, 1893, a son of Jesse C. and Jane Ellen (Hess) Houp. He was married to Alice Russell on March 11, 1921, in Saxton. The deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Paul Swope, Aitch; Mrs. Harold Hall, Carlisle; Mrs. John Tetwiler, McConnellstown; George F. Houp, Jr. and Glen Edward Houp, both at home and Earl F. Houp, Marklesburg. There are six grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Ambrose, John and Thomas Houp, all of Saxton; Charles Houp, Beaver Falls; Woodrow Houp, Aliquippa; Silas Houp, Youngstown, Ohio; Maxwell Houp, New Waterford, Ohio; Robert and Harry Houp, Martinsburg, R.D.; Mrs. Mary Dilling, New Waterford, Ohio; and Mrs. Ida Smith, Saxton. He was educated in the public schools of Huntingdon County and was of the Church of God faith. He was a member of the Frank P. Hommon Post No. 24, American Legion of Huntingdon. Mr. Houp was a veteran of World War I, serving in France with Company D, 319th Infantry in 1918 and 1919. He was last employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. Services are under the direction of the K.R. Miller funeral home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert Barroll will officiate and interment will be made at the Diehl's Crossroad Cemetery, Martinsburg, R.D. Mrs. Jane (Keith) Houp of Allenport died at Shirleysburg at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 1957. Mrs. Houp was born in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, on August 29, 1869, a daughter of James and Matilda (Duncan) Keith. She was united in marriage to John Houp, who preceded her in death in March 1936. Surviving is one brother, W.S. Keith of Allenport. She also is survived by several nephews. The deceased was a member of the Marklesburg Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. Frank Crawford will officiate and interment will be at Union Cemetery, Marklesburg. Mrs. Emma Catherine Hummel of 108 Mount Vernon Avenue, South Huntingdon, passed away at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening, November 27, 1958. She had been in failing health for some time and was a patient in the hospital for two weeks before her death. She was born on January 18, 1882, in Little Valley, near Saxton, the daughter of Frederick and Mary (Long) Crouse. Her marriage to James P. Hummel was performed on April 4, 1913, at Olean, New York. Mr. Hummel preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Elby James Hummel, with whom she had resided. She was the last surviving member of her family. All her life had been spent in the Huntingdon area. She was of the Protestant faith. Services are under the direction of the Brown funeral home in Huntingdon.Interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Paul Witmer Isenberg of Cassville R.D., died Wednesday, April 2, 1958, at 2:45 p.m. at his late home. He had been ill for one week and death was due to a heart attack. He was born July 21, 1903, at McConnellstown, a son of Harry and Mary (Fraker) Isenberg. He was married July 21, 1924, to Treasia A. Guyer by the Rev. Edward Utts. The deceased is survived by his wife, his step-mother, Mrs. Roy Hoffman of McConnellstown and three daughters: Mrs. Thomas Tinley of Harrisburg, Mrs. William Snyder of Cleveand, Ohio; and Alice, at home. One daughter preceded him in death. There are two grandsons, William Lee Tinley and Barry Allen Snyder. Also survivng are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Paul Pheasant, David Isenberg, Raymond Isenberg and Eugene Isenberg, all of Huntingdon; Mrs. John Hauser, Mechanicsburg and Mrs. Fred Laird, Mill Creek. One brother, Harold and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Good, preceded him in death. He was of the Methodist faith. For many years Mr. Isenberg was employed by Pierce, Butler and Pierce Radiator Company of Huntingdon. He had been a resident of Trough Creek Valley for the past 20 years where he was engaged as a farmer. In addition, during the past 11 years, he had driven a school bus between Cassville and Robertsdale. Services are under the direction of the McClain funeral home in Cassville. The Rev. J.I. Colpetzer will officiate and interment will be made in the McConnellstown Cemetery. Mrs. Clara Craig Johns, wife of Ira R. Johns of McConnellstown, died at her home on Wednesday, March 12, 1952, at 10:30 p.m. She had been sick for ten days and seriously ill since last Saturday. The deceased was born in Altoona on November 21, 1882, a daughter of Irvin and Georganna (Duke) Craig. She was united in marriage to Ira R. Johns at Ebensburg on July 17, 1906. Mrs. Johns was a member of the McConnellstown Methodist Church and president of the Ladies Aid for a number of years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Josephine Johns, at home; Russell M. Johns of Manor Hill; Mrs. George (Luetta) Stapleton, Mrs. David (Mary) Bowser, Richard W. Johns, all of McConnellstown; Stuart Craig Johns of Altoona; Leo C. Johns of Sewickley; Mrs. Martin (Viola) Bowser of Newton Hamilton; and Mrs. Fred (Clara) Thompson of Hesston R.D. Twelve grandsons, one granddaughter, and these two sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Grace Riddles of Homer City; Mrs. H.P. (Josephine) Tustin of Gary, Ind.; and Frank Craig of Johnstown. Services are being directed by the Bechtel funeral service. The Rev. Warren Swank will officiate and interment will be in the Strongstown Cemetery in Indiana County. Richard Wilkinson Johns of McConnellstown died Thursday, October 1, 1959, at 2:05 p.m. at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Altoona. He had been in failing health for the past three years and had been a patient at the hospital for two months. He was born October 13, 1913, in Johnstown, a son of Ira A. and Clara (Craig) Johns. Surviving are his father of McConnellstown and the following children: Richard Johns,Jr. of Smithfield; Craig and Marcia Johns of McConnellstown. In addition he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. George (Luetta) Stapleton of Huntingdon R.D.1; Russell M. Johns of McConnellstown; Miss Josephine Johns of Bethesda, Md; Mrs. Fred (Clara) Thompson of Huntingdon R.D.1; Mrs. Viola Bowser of Harrisburg; Mrs. David (Mary) bowser of Baltimore, Md.; Stewart C. Johns of Altoona; amd Leo Johns of Carlisle. He was a member of the McConnellstown Methodist Church and Sunday School. For 22 years he was in the maintenance department of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II entering the service on January 17, 1945, and was honorably discharged on September 17, 1946. He served in the Third Batallion, 34th Infantry. Mr. Johns was a member of the Alexandria American Legion and the Standing Stone Post 1754, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Huntingdon. Services are under the direction of Haverstock memorial home in McConnellstown. The Rev. Franklin Bird will officiate and interment will be made in the Strongstown Cemetery at Strongstown. Mrs. Martha E. Johnson, wife of David D. Johnston of 521 Thirteenth Street, Huntingdon, died on Monday morning, December 11, 1950, in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at 10:55 o'clock. She had been in failing health and had been a patient in the hospital since Sunday night. She was born on September 20, 1871, in Juniata Township, the daughter of Calvin and Sara Ann (Thompson) Corbin. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She was a good wife, mother and kind friend, and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Surviving are her husband and three children: Clarence J. Johnston at home, Mrs. Thomas Dean of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Jay D. Smith of Everett. One sister, Mrs. Hayden Kensinger of Huntingdon, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services are under the direction of the Green funeral home in Huntingdon. The Rev. R.A. Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Dr. John M. Keichline, a former resident of Huntingdon, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 1958, as he was being taken to the Lewisburg Hospital. Death followed an extended illness. He was 80 years of age. The deceased, a former president of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society and the Radiological Society of North America, completed 50 years of medical practice in 1952. He closed his office in Huntingdon in 1954 and moved to Middleburg with his family last July. Dr. Keichline, four-time president of the Huntingdon County Medical Society, was born at Bellefonte and he practiced medicine in Petersburg before coming to Huntingdon. He was active in the Red Cross, Boy Scouting, the Masonic fraternity, American Legion, church work and he was a past president of the Huntingdon Rotary club. He served two terms as county coroner. Funeral services will be directed by the Hassinger funeral home in Middleburg. The Rev. George D. Birk will officiate. Interment will be made in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg. John Theodore Keith of Allenport, a World War II veteran, passed away at the home of his father, W.S. Keith in Allenport, on Saturday, January 26, 1952, at 1:25 p.m. He had been in failing health since 1946 and been seriously ill since October 1951. The deceased was born May 26, 1909 in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, a son of W.S. and Sarah M. (Livinghouse) Keith. He was united in marriage to Miss Edna Niman, of Reesville on November 3, 1932. They made their first home in Allenport and have since resided there. He was a member of the Allenport Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Men's Bible class of the Sunday School. He belonged to the Simpson-Hunt Post, American Legion, Mount Union; Standing Stone Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Huntingdon; the Order of Owls of Lewistown; and Junction Fire Department in Lewistown. He enlisted in the Armed Forces on March 24, 1944 and served in the 889th Ambulance Company, 151st Medical Battalion. He was overseas one year and was discharged May 15, 1946. He is survived by his father, his wife, and one daughter, Ramona, at home. One brother, Robert Keith of Huntingdon R.D.1, also survives. Services are under the direction of the Clark funeral home of Mount Union. The Rev. Donald Treece assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Justice will officiate. Interment will be made at the Marklesburg Cemetery. Mrs. Bertha E. Kensinger, wife of Hayden Kensinger, of 1325 Oneida Street, Huntingdon, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Saturday afternoon, March 22, 1952, at 2:45 o'clock. The deceased was born in Juniata Township, Hntingdon County, on December 20, 1884, a daughter of Calvin and Sarah A. (Thompson) Corbin. She was twice married. The first union was with James C. Megahan of Petersburg in 1902. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1909. She was united in marriage to Hayden Kensinger of Huntingdon on August 17, 1948. Mrs. Kensinger was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Huntingdon, but she usually attended the First Baptist Church with her husband. She was employed by the J.B. Kunz Company at Huntingdon for 15 years from 1910 to 1925. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Roy D. Megahan of Dearborn, Mich.; William Megahan of Huntingdon R.D.3; and George Megahan of Garden City, Mich. Five grandchildren also survive. She was the last survivng menber of her immediate family. Services are in charge of Bechtel's funeral home in Huntingdon. The Rev. David J. Heim will officiate and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. George A. Kensinger of Aitch R.D., died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, March 23, 1958, at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He suffered a stroke on February 25 and had been a patient since that time. He was born september 11, 1896, at Saxton, a son of Jacob and Annie (Kauffman) Kensinger. He was married to Martha Grove on August 22, 1923, at Huntingdon, by the Rev. A.B. Van Ormer. The deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, Miss Ruth Ann Kensinger at home and two sons, George H. Kensinger of McConnellstown and Benjamin M. Kensinger of Plymouth, Ohio. One daughter preceded him in death. There are two grandchildren. Also survivng is one sister, Mrs. Alice Marker of Lakmore, Ohio and one step-sister, Mrs. George Chambers of Beaver. He attended St Matthew's Lutheran Church of Marklesburg and was a member of the POS of A of Marklesburg. Mr. Kensinger was a carpenter by trade and for the past 12 years had been associated with his son as a carpenter. The Rev. Charles F. Wisler will officiate. Haden Fisher Kensinger of 1531 Oneida Street, Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, July 31, 1955, at 11:55 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, after an illness of two years. The deceased was born November 15, 1874, at Williamsburg, a son of Henry and Catherine (Fisher) Kensinger. He was twice married. The first union being with Mary Katharine Streightiff on April 8, 1896. She preceded him in death on December 25, 1945. The second marriage was to Mrs. Bertha Megahan on October 17, 1947. She preceded him in death on March 22, 1952. Kensinger lived with his grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Stoller Kensinger, in Woodcock Valley, Bedford County, and then moved to Huntingdon in 1889. He was educated in the Rhodes Schoolhouse in Liberty Township, Bedford County, and the Huntingdon public schools. The deceased, a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon, was deacon of that church for seventeen years and had been made a deacon emeritus. He was employed as a car inspector at Huntingdon by the Pennsylvania Railroad company from 1903 until his retirement in 1939. These step-sons survive: George Megahan of Garden City, Mich.; Roy Megahan of Dearborn, Mich; and William Megahan of Huntingdon R.D.3. A number of neices and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Inez Hess of Philadelphia and Mrs. Caroline Hollingshead of Huntingdon. Services are under the direction of the Bechtel funeral home in Huntingdon. Chester (Rip) Kephart of 609 Blair Street, Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at his home. He was born November 16, 1897, in Hollidaysburg, a son of Martin and Catherine (Putt) Kephart, and married Margaret Gunter in Altoona on September 16, 1922. Mr. Kephart was employed by Hollidaysburg Borough. Surviving are his wife, two children, Chester of New Rochell, N.Y., and Mrs. Vivian Prescott of Claysburg; five grandchildren, a brother and a sister, Wilbur of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. Rebecca Waumbaugh of New Cumberland. Services directed by Creamer and Plank Funeral Home in Hollidaysburg. Matilda Widener Kyper, widow of Thomas H. Kyper of 714 Warm Springs Avenue, died on Monday evening, March 13, 1950, at 9:15 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital after an illness of three years. She was born on October 3, 1873, in Marklesburg, a daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Fisher) Widener. On February 16, 1893, she was united in marriage to Thomas H. Kyper in McConnellstown. Her husband preceded her in death in 1936. Mrs. Kyper was a member of the Abbey Church of Huntingdon. Surviving are two sons, Clarence H. Kyper and William C. Kyper, both of Huntingdon. Two sisters, Mrs. Emanuel Norris of Hesston and Mrs. Sarah Brown of Huntingdon R.D.3, along with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Services are under the direction of Brown's funeral home in Huntingdon. The Rev. Hobart D. McKeehan, D.D. will officiate and interment will be made in the McConnellstown Cemetery. Mrs. Anna M. Lang of Pittsburgh, a former resident of Huntingdon, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Smith of Pittsburgh at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 1959. mrs. lang had been ill for the past 11 years. She was born at Marklesburg on November 10, 1892, a daughter of Alfred B. and Margaret (Hood) Fouse. She was married in 1900 to Marius G. Lang of McConnellstown. He preceded her in death in April of 1946. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Gertrude Smith of Pittsburgh; Carl Lang of Lebanon, Ind.; Donald, Alfred and Richard Lang, and Mrs. Robert (Jean) silknitter of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Herbert (Virginia) Gilliland and Harry Lang of Huntingdon. There are 22 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Emma Householder of McConnellstown and Mrs. Wilbert Harley of Huntingdon. Mrs. Lang was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church of Huntingdon. Dr. Ferdinand Derk will officiate and interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Benjamin Laughlin of Red Hill, Altoona, who retired as a P.R.R. sheetmetal worker in 1953, after 52 years of service, died at 3:20 a.m., Sunday, May 7, 1967, in the Altoona Hospital, following an extended illness. He had been hospitalized since March 20. Born June 27, 1882, in McConnellstown, he was a son of William F. and Adaline (Megahan) Laughlin. His wife, the former Merle A. Lundy, whom he married December 25,1905, died January 26, 1929. Surviving are a son and four daughters: Robert L. Laughlin of Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Viola Yingling of Altoona, Mrs. Mildred Lamberson of Port Matilda, and Mrs. Marguerite Halton and Mrs. Edna Walters of Duncansville; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Jesse Laughlin of Detroit, Mich. Laughlin entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1901 as a laborer and was rated a coppersmith in 1905. He was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Dessie M. Lear of Petersburg died at her home on Christmas Day, December 25, 1951, at 8 a.m. She had been in failing health since 1935. The deceased was born in Cass Township, Huntingdon County, on February 8, 1881, a daughter of Amon A. and Irene (Cutshall) Parks, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Frederick M. Lear on January 14, 1904 at Warrior Ridge by the Rev. H.H. Crotsley. Mrs. Lear had been a resident of Petersburg since 1904. She was a member of the Petersburg Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children: Luther Lear of Spruce Creek; Roy Lear of Longfellow; Mrs. George Miller and Mrs. Philip Holland, both of Huntingdon; Mrs. Robert Lightner and Mrs. John Hagans, both of Lemoyne; Mrs. Robert Castner of Riddlesburg; Mrs. Robert Smith of Huntingdon R.D.; Mrs. Emory Curry of Altoona; and Harold Lear of Camp Hill. Two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Piper of Petersburg, and Mrs. Grace McGinnis of Lakemont, also survive. The Rev. L.L. Owens will officiate and interment will be made Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg, directed by Temple's funeral service, Petersburg. Mrs. Frances Cant Lincoln of 323 Penn Street, widow of Robert H. Lincoln, was found dead at her home at 11 a.m. today. The body of the well known Huntingdon woman was found by L.S. Etnier who resides at the Lincoln home. Coroner E. Blair Shore was summoned and determined that she had been dead for six or seven hours. She had been ill. Death was due to a coronary occusion. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George F. Cant, who resided at the north-west corner of Second and Penn Streets for many years. A few years ago, she sold this home to Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Whitsel and had resided at 323 Penn Street since then. Survivng are a step-son, Robert M. Lincoln of Media and two sisters: Mrs. Carolyn Ruhe of Kew Gardens, L.I. , and Mrs. Christine bird of Darien, Conn. A brother George F. Cant, Jr. preceded her in death.
