Blair Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. She had been in failing health for several months. She was born January 23, 1896, near Three Springs, a daughter of Grant and Amanda (Weicht) Mansberger. She was married to C. Sheldon Mansberger on June 23, 1924, at New York City. Her husband survives along with one daughter, Mrs. William E. (Shirley) Makatche of Philadelphia; two sons, Stanley L. and Edwin S. Mansberger, bothof Huntingdon, and 11 grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one brother. Mrs. Mansberger was a member of the Fifteenth Street United Methodist Church and of the Confer Sunday School class and the WSCS. She belonged to the Huntingdon Chapter No. 159, Order of Eastern Star. She attended normal school at Orbisonia and had taught school prior to her marriage. She was employed at the Huntingdon Throwing Company for a number of years. Interment will be made in the Cassville IOOF Cemetery. A centenarian, Mrs. Nancy Gehrett Dodson of Orbisonia, died Sunday, July 29, 1973, at 10:30 a.m. in the Duke Convalescent Residence at Lancaster, where she had been a guest for two weeks. She was born Jan. 12, 1873 in Orbisonia a daughter of Jacob F. and Ellen (Rutter) Gehrett. She was twice married. Her first husband, William A. Parsons of Neffs Mills died in 1908. Later she was united in marriage to Harry A. Dodson of Duboistown who died in 1960. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Lloyd (Esther) Stevenson, West Caldwell, N.J., and Mrs. John (Ruth) Widmyer, Lancaster, to the first marriage and Mrs. Walter (Isabel) Stitt, Blairsville, to the second marriage. Five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. On her 100th birthday, Jan. 12, 1973, she was a guest of honor at a family gathering held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Stitt, Blairsville. Interment will be made in the Orbisonia Cemetery. Mrs. Onetta Grace Painter, 74, of Three Springs, died Friday, December 261969 at 9:15 a.m., in the Brookline Manor Convalescent Home, Mifflintown, where she had been a guest for four months. She had been in failing health for two years. Born June 16, 1895 in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of Wilson W. and Jennie (Lane) Brown. She was united in marriage with William P. Painter of Three Springs in the Huntingdon EUB Church on June 16, 1925 by the Rev. C.E. Willy. Her husband survives, along with two sons, Don Painter, Dover, Delaware, and James Painter, Somerville, N.J. There are five grandchildren. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mattie Tate, Salona; Sheldon Brown, Orbisonia; Mrs. Lorna Everhart, Three Springs; and Mrs. Lois Norris, Mifflintown, Three brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Painter was a charter member of the Sugar Grove EUB Church of Three Springs R.D. She was a member of the Three Springs Rebekah Lodge No. 578 and the National Educators Association. She had taught in the elementary schools of southern Huntingdon County for 35 years until her retirement in 1958. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, at 2 P.M. from the Ott funeral home, Orbisonia. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Charles Rhodes of Fishertown and the Rev. Merle Cowher of Three Springs. Interment will made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Sunday until the hour of the services Monday. Rebekah Lodge will hold memorial services at the funeral home on 7 P.M. Orville Leroy Booher, 70, of Orbisonia Star Route died Thursday, November 9, 1967 at 10 p.m. at his home. He had been in failing health three months. Born August 13, 1897, in Cromwell township, he was a son of Fillmore and Sarah Jane (Flasher) Booher. He was united in marriage with Edna Mae Barron of Pogue in Huntingdon on March 17, 1923 by the Rev. George J. Colledge. His wife survives along witht these children: Kenneth Leroy Booher, Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Martin (Maxine) Shore, Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Ruth A. Fouse, Orbisonia; Mrs. Richard (Burnis) Brown, Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Wayne (Sarah Mae) Grove, Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Fred (Grace Fae) Gumbert, Hatsfield. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and these sisters and brother: Mrs. Ethel Jamison, Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Christina Shore, Martinsburg, Mrs. Edna Shaffer, Arlington, Va.: Lloyd Booher, Fayette City. He was of the Protestant faith and had been a coalminer and farmer. He had been employed until his retirement at North American Refractories quarry at Three Springs. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, at 2 p.m. in Ott funeral home, Orbisonia. The Rev. Levi L. Hess of Orbisonia Methodist Charge will officiate and interment will be mde in IOOF Memorial Cemetery at Rockhill Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home this Saturday evening from 7 o"closck until the hour for the services on Sunday. Orville S. Everetts, 67, of Huntingdon R.D., died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon on Monday, November 15, 1971 at approximately 6:30 p.m. He had been a patient of the hospital since November 6. Born April 7, 1904 at Knobsville, he was a son of Philip and Gertrude (Hamil) Everetts. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Carl (Edna) Heffner, Huntingdon R.D.3.; Paul E. Everetts, 1320 Moore Street, Huntingdon; Oscar Everetts, Alexandria; Robert Everetts, Huntingdon R.D.3 and Mrs. S. Paul (Gladys) Kanagy, Star Route, Mill Creek. Two brothers, Wilbur and Raymond, and two sisters, Hazel and Irene, preceded him in death. The deceased was of the Protestant faith. Everetts had worked for many years at the Huntingdon Silk Mill and later at Owens-Corning Fiberglas. He was then employed by the Philco Corporation at Sandusky, Ohio and after retiring, worked for A.L. Hardy of Huntingdon in construction. Interment will be made in the Knobsville Cemetery Miss Patricia Ann Dell, 38, of Tamaqua, died in the Coaldale State Hospital on Wednesday, July 7, 1965 at 2 P.M. She had ben in failing health since January, and at the time of death was aged 38 years. She was hospitalized snce July 3. She was a daughter of David A. Dell aand Hazel (Heck) Mills and was a member of the Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, the Wednesday Club and the Harrisburg Church Society. Also surviving is a brother, Daniel Dell of Brandon, Vermont. A sister, Laura died in 1929. Her mother is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heck and the family resided in The Hares Valley area for many years. Miss Dell was an accomplished singer and pianist and she resided in Harrisburg prior to moving to Tamaqua in January. In Harrisburg she was employed by the claims department of U.S.F. and G. as assistant manager. Paul H. Painter, 72, of 138 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, died at 5:45 this Wednesday morning, April 20, 1977 at the J.C.Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, where he had been a patient since Saturday. His death followed an illness of one month. Born June 7, 1904 at Three Springs R.D. Cromwell Township, he was a son of John and Louisa (Hammond) Painter, On December 22, 1923, her married the former Myrtle Barron. Surviving are his widow and the following children; Mrs. Clair (Thelma) Myers, Mrs. Marlyn (Lois) Price, Robert, Orlando and Mrs. Doris Miller, all of Mount Union; Lester, Center Valley and Mrs. Dean (Donna) Ramsey, Shirleysburg, There are 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sister, Earl, Rockhill, Floyd, and Mrs Robert (Dorothy) Wilson, both of Orbisonia and Mrs. Owen (Pearl) Stenson, Three Springs, R.D. Three sisters and one brother preceded in death. The deceased was a member of the Allenport Church of God. He belonged to the Adult Sunday School Class and served on the Church Council. He was also a charter member of the Allenport Lions Club. Until 1952, he was employed at the Silica Brickyard, Mount Union. For many years, he sold Rawleigh Products, and for the past 17 years, he was affiliated with his son in the operation of Painter's Service Station, Mount Union. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, from the Heath funeral home, Mount Union. The Rev. Dale Cannada and the Rev. Paul Walker will officiate, burial will be in Jordan Cemetery. Friends will be received at the the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time for services. Philip J. Gutshall, 66, of Saltillo, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 1973, at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon where he had been a patient for the past 10 days. Born February, 3, 1907 in Cromwell Township, he was a son of Simon and Sybil (Flasher) Gutshall. In September, 1933, he married Leona Arnold, who preceded in death in December, 1964. On April 15, 1966, he wed Grace Kough. His wife survives along with a step-son, Kenneth Rightnour of Cleveland, Ohio and two step-granddaughters. Two sons preceded in death. Two sisters and two brothers remain, Mrs. Blair (Myrtle) Moore, Mrs. Alice Hearn and William, all of Huntingdon R.D. and Grant of Hustontown. The deceased had been employed by the S.J. Grove Construction company, retiring in 1971. Burial will be in the Three Springs Cemetery. Porter Asbury Lynn, 75, of Orbisonia died of a heart attack in his home at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 1968. Born August 27, 1893 in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, he was a son of William and Elizabeth (Kely) Lynn. March 18, 1921 he was united in marriage with Gwendolyn L. Grove of Orbisonia in the Methodist chapel at Hagerstown, Md. Surviving ar his wife; four children, Mrs. Dan (Jean) Leonard and Mrs. Alvin (Grace) Lundy, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; William W. Lynn, Mount Union and Robert Lynn, Three Springs; 15 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Iva Delozier, Bellefonte. Interment will be made in the Orbisonia Cemetery. William Ralph Bollinger, 68, Three Springs R.D. 2, died Friday, June 19, 1970, at 11:01 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient of the hospital for the previous 13 days. Born March 15, 1902, in Oak Grove, Clay Township, he was a son of Daniel and Lilly (Alloway) Bollinger. He was united in marriage to Clara Painter of Three Springs on December 18, 1935. His wife survives, along with three children: Mrs. Richard (Kay) Anderson, Three Springs R.D., Kent Anderson and Karen Anderson, both at home. There are three grandsons. Also surviving are a brother and three sisters: the Rev. Charles Bollinger, Liverpool, N.Y.; Mrs. Laura Hollibaugh, Rockhill Furnace; Mrs. Mildred Walker, Huntingdon and Mrs. Lois Dickenson, New Millport. The deceased was of the Protestant faith. He was a charter member of the Three Springs Volunteer Fire Company. During his lifetime he had engaged in the occupation of farming. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home, Orbisonia. The Rev. Merle S. Cowher, of the Three Springs Grace United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Bethel Church of God Cemetery at New Grenada. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until the hour of the services on Tuesday. Ralph S. Booher, 54, of Shirleysburg, died unexpectedly Monday, October 24, 1968, at 3:15 p.m. at the cottage owned by Harrison Booher in Cromwell Township, Orbisonia R.D. He had been in failing health for the past six months. Born at Mount Union on June 20, 1912, he was a son of Harry S. and Flora (Cohenour) Booher. He was united in marriage to Leona Stubbs at Lewistown. His wife survives, along with his mother of Shirleysburg R.D., and two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Nancy) Bard, Okinawa and Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Love, Bermuda. There are eight grandchildren. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Violet White, Shillington: Mrs. Clair Henry, Mount Union: Mrs. Ralph Leonard, Manassas, Va.: Harry D. Booher, Whitingville, Mass.; Donald S. Booher, Shirleysburg; Max Booher, Mount Union R.D.; Mrs. Horace Erb, Malvern and Blair Booher, Manassas, Va. The deceased was a member of the Germany Valley Church of the Brethren. He was a charter member of the Fort Shirley Lions Club. He had retired with 20 years service from the Sinclair Pipeline Company in 1962, and prior to that time had worked for a number of years as a bricklayer. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, at 2 p.m. from the Clark funeral home Mount Union. The Rev. Harold G. Ash will officiate and interment will be made in Germany Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that persons wishing to memorialize Mr. Booher make a contribution of the Huntingdon County Heart Association. Mrs. Rhoda Y. Rhodes, 79, Huntingdon R.D. 2, died in her home Wednesday, September 18, 1968 at 11:15 p.m. She had been in her ususal good health, but became ill four hours earlier. Death was attributed to congestive heart failure. Her husband, William F. Rhodes, preceded her in death just 29 days ago on August 22. Born December 11, 1888 in McConnellstown, she was a daughter of Benjamin F. and Catherine (Ambrose) Yingling. Three daughters survive: Mrs. Furman (Edna) Tate of Huntingdon, Mrs. Dennis (Cleo) Owens of White Marsh, and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Gienger of Huntingdon. Also surviving is one grandchild. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Rhodes was a member of Stone Church of the Brethren. She spent her entire life in Huntingdon County. Interment will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg. Richard L. Booher, of Birdvale, Mapleton R.D., died unexpectedly at his home on Monday afternoon, May 8, 19__. Born July 9, 1926 at Mapleton, he was a son of Elder and Vera (Heck) Booher. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Grainey on January 14, 1949. Surviving are his wife, his mother of Mapleton, and these five children, Mindy, Jeffrey, Timothy, Melissa and Todd, all at home. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters, Wendell of Lewistown, Robert of Marysville, Reed of Houston, Texas, James of Mount Union, Mrs. Willis (Lillian) Shore of Huntingdon, Joann Grainey of Huntingdon, Mrs. Frank (Linda) Roll of Mount Union and Mrs. Benjamin (Sallie) Quarry of Mapleton R.D. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Mapleton. The deceased had been employed as a maintenance mechanic at the Pennsylvania Glass Sand plant and belonged to the Teamster's union local there. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he belonged to the Mapleton American Legion Post 322 and was a past commander of the post. He was a member of the Mapleton Fire Company, the Central District Firemane's Association and the Mapleton Hunting Camp. Interment will made in Mapleton IOOF Cemetery. W. Ronald Hearn of Cold Springs Road, Oneida Township, Huntingdon R.D. 2 died Wednesday, July 26, 1967 at 5:00 p.m. in J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had entered the hospital Tuesday evening. Born November 4, 1904 in Center Union, Oneida Township, he was a son of A. B. and Blanche (Black) Hearn. He married Alice Gutshall on June 12, 1937 in Stone Church of the Brethren parsonage, Huntingdon with the Rev. Foster B. Statler officiating. Surviving are his wife and these brothers and sisters: John K. Hearn, Huntingdon; Mrs. Harvey (Clara) Bratton, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Chris (Ruth) Sylvester, Pittsburgh; Lester M. Hearn, Tyrone; Mrs. James (Nettie) Hawn, Petersburg R.D.; Walter H. Hearn, Huntingdon R.D. 1; Mrs. Austin (Beatrice) Craig, Huntingdon, A brother, Cloyd preceded him in death. He was of the Protestant faith and a carpenter by trade, having been employed by H.T. Reynolds and Sons, Contractors retiring in 1966 after 32 years of service. His entire life was spent in Oneida Township. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. in Brown Funeral home, Huntingdon. The Rev. Earl C. Kaylor Jr. will officiate and interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon R.D.1. Russell Earl Mentzer, 75, of Shade Gap, died Thursday, September 30, 1971, at 10:45 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient for four days. He was born January 22, 1896, in Langdondale, Bedford County, a son of Jerry W. and Irene Shore Mentzer. He married Olive Blanche Gutshall on June 5, 1915 at a ceremony performed in the bride's home in Cromwell Township by the Rev. Cline of the Methodist Church. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Kyler, Mapleton Depot, R.D.; Mrs. Esther Walls Wagner, Lewistown, R.D. 2; Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Mellott, York; Earl L. Mentzer, Cassville; Blaine A. Mentzer, Mill Creek; Jerry H. Mentzer, Okinawa; Miss Grace M. Mentzer, Shade Gap; Sgt. Merrill C. Mentzer in the U.S. Air Force at Chinute AFB in Illinois; Mrs. Donald Flo Scott, Mount Union R.D.; and Dale E. Mentzer, Wilmington, Del. Three children preceded in death. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Gertrude Naugle, Fort Littleton; David Mentzer, Warren Mentzer, Mrs. Irene Hall, and Mrs. Goldie Waters, all of Burnt Cabins, R.D. Mrs. Fannie MacMillan, Lorain, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Staubs and Fred Mentzer, both of Mount Union. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren are surviving. The deceased was a member of the United Methodist Church of Shade Gap. Mr Mentzer worked at Harbison-Walker Refractories Corp. of Mount Union until his retirement in 1952. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Shade Gap. R.D. Sheldon Wilson Brown, 65, of Orbisonia, died Monday, July 12, 1971, at 12:25 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born at Three Springs on August 17, 1905, a son of Wilson and Jennie Belle (Lane) Brown. He was united in marriage to Emma Mary Jacka of Three Springs R.D. on April 29, 1927 in the EUB parsonage at Three Springs by the Rev. C.E. Willie. His wife survives along with one son, Robert Jack Brown of Mount Union. Three sisters survive: Mrs. Mattie Tate, Salona; Mrs. Lorna Everhart, Three Springs and Mrs Lois Norris, Mifflintown. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. The deceased attended the Otterbein Untied Methodist Church Orbisonia. He was a charter member of the Orbisonia-Rockhill Volunteer Fire Company. He was member of Cromwell Lodge, F and A.M. No 572, and belonged to the Harrisburg Consistory. Brown was employed by the East Broad Top Railroad for 26 years and later worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot, retiring in 1968. Interment will be made in Three Springs Cemetery. Simon W. Gutshall, 86, of Three Springs died this morning, Wednesday, June 16, 1965, at 5 a.m. at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hearne of Huntingdon R.D.2. He had been in failing health for the past two years. He was born December 26, 1878, in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, a son of Peter and Mary (McGee) Gutshall. He was united in marriage to Sybil Flasher on October 29, 1903, by B.I. Bence at Three Springs. Surviving are his wife and these children: Mrs. Blair (Myrtle) Moore, Huntingdon R.D.1; William Gutshall, Huntingdon R.D.2; Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Hearne, Huntingdon R.D.2; Philip J. Gutshall, Grove City and Grant Gutshall, Hustontown. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is one brother Silas W. Gutshall of Three Springs. The deceased attended the Three Springs Methodist Church. He was a farmer and miner by occupation and, except for several years residence in Broad Top City, had spent his entire life in the Three Springs area. Interment will be made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Simon W. (Sybil) Gutshall, 88, died December 25, 1966 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hearn, Huntingdon R.D. 2. where she had been living for the past five years. She was a former resident of Three Springs. The deceased was born December 4, 1878, in Cromwell Township, a daughter of Charles Wesley and Lydia Jane Flasher. She was united in marriage to Simon W. Gutshall, October 29, 1903, at Three Springs, The Rev. B.I. Bence officiating. Her husband preceded her in death on June 16, 1965. She is survived by five children: Mrs. Blair (Myrtle) Moore, Huntingdon R.D. 2; William Gutshall, Huntingdon R.D.2; Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Hearn, Huntingdon R.D.2, Philip Gutshall, Edinboro and Grant Gutshall, Hustontown. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Florence Cassidy of Great Falls, Montana, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was a member of the Three Springs Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 1966 at 2 p.m. at the McClain Funeral Home, Cassville witht the Rev. H. Franklin McCLasin officiating. Interment will be made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, and until the hour of the services on Wednesday. Mrs. Teresa Gertrude Bowmaster, 96, of Orbisonia, died Friday, November 5, 1971 at 4:45 a.m. in the United Presbyterian Home in Philipsburg, where she had been a guest for seven years. Death followed a week's illness. She was born on January 20, 1887, at McKendree, Huntingdon County, a daughter of Henry and Hannah (Booher) Buckley. On October 26, 1910, she was united in marriage to J. Oscar Bowmaster by the Rev. J.K. Knisely, pastor of the Altoona Methodist Church, in Altoona. Her husband preceded her in death on March 27, 1958. A daughter, Mary Ruth Bowmaster, died in 1929. One sister, Mrs. Edna Yeager of Vallejo, Calif. survives together with a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bowmaster was a member of the United Methodist Church of Orbisonia. Interment will be made in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery at Rockhill Furnace. Mrs. Vernia Alice Kyle, 67, of Smithfield Township, Huntingdon R.D. 3 died Monday, January 6 1969, at 10 p.m. in the Parkwest Manor Nursing Home at State College. She had been in failing health for the past four years. Born in Saxton January 28, 1901, she was a daughter of Henry E. and Alice C. (Grace) Hamm. She was united in marriage to James H. Kyle, Sr. on February 12, 1919 at Huntingdon. Her husband preceded her in death September 21, 1966. Survivng are the following children: James H. Kyle, Jr., Huntingdon R.D. 3, Cloyd H. Kyle, Huntingdon R.D. 3, Robert Kyle, Huntingdon R.D. 2, and Mrs. Sylvia Stitt, Huntingdon R.D. 3. There are 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The deceased was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Kyle was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She was a former employe of the J.C. Blair Company. All her married life had been spent in the Huntingdon area. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Mrs. Viola O. Lynn, 74, of 2545 A Street, San Diego, Calif., died Friday, March 26, 1971 at 7:45 a.m. at San Diego. She was a former resident of Orbisonia. She was born December 16, 1896 in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, a daughter of John Elmer and Nellie B. (Ramsey) Little. She was married to Frank G. Morningstar, 73, of Huntingdon R.D. 3 died early this morning, Thursday, January 28, 1971, at 12:30 o'clock in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health since 1961. He was born on April 18, 1897 at Huntingdon R.D. 1, a son of Harry B. and Mary C. (Long) Morningstar. He was united in marriage to Alice M. Whitfield of Hopewell on August 17, 1918 at Cumberland, Md. Surviving are his wife and these children: Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Lightner, Huntingdon R.D. 2, Elvin Morningstar, Huntingdon R.D. 3, Mrs. Harry (Jean) Lukens, Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Rhone, Huntingdon R.D. 1, Mrs. Merle (Betty) Brown, Huntingdon R.D. 3, and Mrs. Jack (Olive) Bishop, Chardon, Ohio. There are 18 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Morningstar was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at McConnellstown. He had been employed by the J.C. Blair Company for approximately 20 years, retiring in 1961 due to disability. Interment wil be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens at Huntingdon R.D. 1. William D. Donaldson 65, of 334 Moore Street, Huntingdon died this morning, Monday, October 4, 1965, at 6:15 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted as a patient on September 23. He had been in failing health for some time. Born May 4, 1900, in Pottstown, he was a son of William and Elizabeth (Putt) Donaldson. Surviving are his mother of 334 Moore Street, Huntingdon: a sister, Mrs. James B. (Kleta) Milligan, Huntingdon R.D. and two brothers: Robert Donaldson of Aliquippa and Blair Donaldson of Clayton, Del. One brother, Elba, preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the Church of God, Saxton. He was self-employed, and had lived in the Saxton area prior to moving to the Huntingdon area in 1925. Nablo, 79, of Smithfield Township, Huntingdon R.D. 1, died Friday, August 25, at 8:45 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for the past year and a half, and had been a patient of the hospital since Wednesday, August 16. Born May 18, 1888, at Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada, he was a son of Jacob and Mary (Hurst) Nablo. He was twice married, first to Frances Waters of Mount Union. She preceded him in death. He later married Ethel Kelly Ohmann, who survives, along with a brother, Charles Nablo of Newfane, N.Y., and three sisters; Mrs. Henry (Mary) Weiss, Hemet, Calif.; Mrs. Ethel Parker, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Clara Sherlow, Flint Mich. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the Abbey Church, United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Stone Creek Valley Lions Club. Nablo moved to th Niagara Falls, N.Y. while still a small boy and had been employed with the Niagara-Mohawk Power Company from 1922 until his retirement in 1953. He became a United States citizen while a young man and had been residing at Huntingdon since 1961. Interment will be in Niagara Falls, N.Y. William Painter, 83, of Three Springs died Wednesday, November 8, 1972 at 2 p.m. in the Brookline Manor Convalescent Home, Mifflintown. Born August 31, 1889 in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, he was a the son of the late Samuel and Amanda (Jordan) Painter. He was married to Onetta Grace Brown of Cromwell Township on June 16, 1925 in the E.U.B. Church, Huntingdon by the Rev. C.E. Willie and she preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1969. Surviving are two sons, Don W. Painter of Dover, Del., and James A. Painter of Somerville, N.J., five grandchildren, a brother and sister, Sylvester Painter of Lebanon and Mrs. Blanche Kline of Huntingdon. Six brothers and sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Three Springs. Before his retirement, he owned and operated a mine in Broad Top. Interment will be made in Three Springs Cemetery. William B. Shafer, 73, Huntingdon R.D.2 (Jackson Township) died about 1:40 p.m., Monday, March 26, 1979 at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for the past six months, and entered the hospital yesterday afternoon. Born May 30, 1905, in Huntingdon, he was the son of William H. and Dora L. (Drake) Shafer. He was united in marriage to Vanetta Mosbey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, John F. Shafer, Erie. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Two brothers, Donald C. Shafer, Huntingdon R.D.2 and Frederick G. Shafer, Huntingdon also survive. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Abbey United Church of Christ Huntingdon. Most recently he had been employed by PennDOT in Huntingdon and had previously been employed at John D. Grove and Sons at both as an auto mechanic. In 1968 he rteired from employment wih PennDOT. He was educated in Huntingdon public schools and had spent his entire life in the Huntingdon area. Interment will be made in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens. Almira Grace Smith, 87, of the Crawford Apartments, Huntingdon, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 30, 1977, at her residence. She had been in her usual good health and death was unexpected. Born Aug. 16, 1890, in Henderson Township, she was the daughter of Alfred G. and Elizabeth J. (Endres) Steel. She was married to Jesse M. Smith on Oct. 13, 1909, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. D.E. Master at the Reformed Church parsonage in Huntingdon. Mr. Smith preceded her in death on May 8, 1964. The following sons and daughters survive: Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Himes, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Earl (Grace) Storer, Cincinnati, Ohio; Robert M. Smith, Huntingdon Mounted Route; Mrs. Frank (Laurabelle) Kough, Pittsburgh: Mrs. Warren (Betty) Fouse, Huntingdon R.D.4; Thomas C. Smith, Chambersburg; and Samuel G. Smith, Laytonsville, Md. A son and daughter preceded her in death. Also surviving are 34 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, where she had served as a member and president of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She also belonged to the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, the Mother's Club and the Standing Stone Golden Age Club, all of Huntingdon. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Alva B. Walton, 56, personnel director of the Owens-Corning Fiberglas plant, Huntingdon, died unexpectedly last evening in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been a hospital patient three days. Walton, who became personnel director of the Huntingdon plant at the time of its establishment in 1943, had over 30 years of service with Owens-Corning in Fiberglas production. The fiberglas executive was active in many facets of community life in Huntingdon and his death came as a shock to his friends and associates. Beginning February 1, 1936 on the production line at the Newark, Ohio Fiberglas factory, where he spent nearly a year, Walton packed insulation wool, made fibers and worked in the shipping department. Rising from the ranks he transferred, on January 1, 1937, to the personnel department at Newark, gaining experience in various management areas before finally serving as personnel manager of that factory for several years. When the Huntingdon plant opened in 1943, Walton came to Huntingdon to serve as head of personnel operations for the new Owens-Corning facility. Walton was the last member of the original management team at the Huntingdon plant. Walton, who resided at 1719 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon was taken suddenly ill at his home Sunday, April 10. He had been in his usual health, but was admitted to the J.C. Blair Hospital at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Death occurred at 8:40 o'clock last evening. Born October 10, 1909, in Newark, Ohio, he was a son of Charles and Blanche (O'Dell) Walton. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Thompson of Frazeysburg, Ohio on April 5, 1936, at Henderson, Ky. His wife survives, along with one daughter, Mrs. William (Darla) Patterson, McLean, Va. and one grandson, Scott William. Also surviving are a brother, Homer D. Walton, Sunbury, Ohio and a sister, Mrs. Fay (Ethel) Truxall, Columbus, Ohio; a number of nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the First Methodist Church, Huntingdon. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Anna Margaret Hancock of Orbisonia, Star Route, died Monday, March 30, 1970, at 1:52 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, where she had been admitted Sunday afternoon. Fifty-three years of age, she was born at Mount Union on March 26, 1917, a daughter of Blair and Sara (Clinger) Wagner. She was united in marriage with Gale Hancock of Orbisonia on June 30, 1937 at Hagerstown, Md. Surviving are her husband, two children, Mrs. Franklin (Sara Elizabeth) Robinson of Northeast Philadelphia, and Daniel B. Hancock of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Robert Wagner of Independence, Mo.; Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Mount Union; Mrs. Sara Jane Dumas of Clementon, N.J.; Richard Wagner and Samuel Wagner, both of Huntingdon. One sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. Interment will be made in the IOOF Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. Arthur J. DeMario, 44, of 313 Eleventh Street, Huntingdon, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 22, 1966, at 7:40 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. His death came as a distinct shock to his family and friends. Born August 18, 1921, in Mapleton Depot, he was a son of Alexander and Agata (Cori) DeMario. He was united in marriage to Beryl Dick on December 11, 1948, in Conemaugh by the Rev. John Thompson. Surviving are his wife, his mother of Mapleton, two children: Arthur J. DeMario II and Joanna DeMario, both at home. Also surviving are the following brother and sisters: Mrs. Austin (Lola) Ernest, Mount Union; Mrs. Norman (Flora) Ernest, Donald DeMario and Mrs. James (Helen) Getz, all of Mapleton and Mrs. John (Louise) Mills, Huntingdon. The deceased was of the Protestant faith. He was employed by the B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 976 of Huntingdon as a steward for the past eight years. Prior to that he had been employed with the Mount Union Beverage Company. He was a member of Huntingdon Fire Company No. 2 and of the County Firemen's Association. He was an honorary member of the Huntingdon Fire Police. DeMario belonged to the Frank P. Hammon Post No. 24, American Legion of Huntingdon, the Standing Stone Post No. 1754, V.F.W., Voiture No. 820, 40 et 8 and the L.O.O.M. No. 223 of Huntingdon. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Air Force from August, 1942 to October, 1945 in the European Theatre. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery. Arthur A. Getz, 80, of Mapleton Depot R.D. died Tuesday, January 13, 1970, at 2:30 a.m. in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon where he had been a patient since Wednesday, January 7. He had been in failing health for several years. Born June 21, 1889, at Beaver Springs, he was a son of Joseph E. and Sarah (Kuhns) Getz. He was united in marriage to Edna Flasher on June 20, 1911. His wife survives along with these children: Joseph A. Getz, Mapleton Depot R.D.; Mrs. Warren (Margaret) Holland, Hesston; James A. Getz, Mapleton Depot; William Getz, Huntingdon; Mrs. Milford (Sarah) Kyler, Mapleton Depot; Erman Getz, Mount Union; Clair Getz, Dayton, Ohio; Robert Getz, Mapleton Depot R.D.; Mrs. Robert (Verna) Hess, Mapleton Depot. One son preceded him in death. There are 32 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren surviving. Three brothers, Erman Getz, Mount Union; Paul Getz, Mount Union and Maurice Getz, McVeytown R.D., survive. A sister and a brother preceded him in death. The deceased attended the Beech Run Church of the Brethren. He had been employed by the North American Refractories at Mount Union for 15 years, prior to his retirement in 1954. Interment will be made in Bowmans's Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton R.D. Arthur B. Thompson of Allenport, Mount Union R.D., died suddenly at his home at 12:15 o'clock Sunday morning, August 22, 1965. He was born at Petersburg on April 3, 1904, the son of Alonzo and Margaret (Hamilton) Thompson. He married Mae McCracken on May 29, 1923, in Mount Union. They had lived their entire married life in the Mount Union area. His survivors include his wife and four sons: Arthur, Jr. of Denver Colorado; Edward, Northport, Long Island, New York; Calvin of New Kingston and Clinton of Sophia, West Virginia. In addition there are ten grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Dwight of Jacksonville, Florida: Fay Thompson and Mrs. Edgar (Ethel) Shoemaker, both of Cumberland, Maryland; and Mrs. Merle (Minnie) Park of Clearfield. Two sons preceded him in death. Mr. Thompson had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 45 years. He was a faithful and active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Union where he had served as an elder and also song leader for many years. He belonged to the Men's Bible Class of the church and also the choir. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Huntingdon Chapter. Burial will be made in the Haven Rest Cemetery, Shirleysburg R.D. Mrs. Bertha Blanche Uttley of Rockhill Furnace died Saturday, January 9, 1965 at 2:20 a.m. at her home. She had been in failing health for the past year. Born March 6, 1909 in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughtert of Bower and Elizabeth (Clark) Booher. She was twice married first to Owen Smith and later to Samuel Uttley of Rockhill Furnace. Mr. Uttley preceded her in death in 1955. One daughter to her first husband survives, Mr. Lewis (Irene) Miller of Rockhill Furnace, along with two grandchildren and three step-children: Mrs. Herbert (Grace) Booher, Orbisonia, R.D.; Mrs. Arthur (Hope) Thompson, Ebensburg, R.D. and Joseph Uttley, Royersford. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Naomi Dempsey, Siddletown, Calif.; Mrs. Hope Shingler, Pittsburgh, Calif.; Raymond Booher, Pine Grove Mills; John Booher, Mount Union; Harrison Booher, Rockhill Furnace and Arthur Booher of Mapleton Depot. The deceased was a member of the Rockhill Furnace Church of the Brethren. She was very interested in the child welfare program in Huntingdon and during her lifetime accepted 13 foster children into her home. Interment will be made in the Haven Rest Memorial Cemetery in Mount Union, R.D. Miss Bessie C. Swartz, 711 Oneida Street, Huntingdon died Sunday, May 22, 1966, at 9:30 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of Max and Ida (Teran) Swartz. Surviving are the following brother and sisters: Abe Swartz, Huntingdon, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Samuel (Gertrude) Savadow, Saxton and Mrs. Leonard (Flora) Abrams, Washington D..C. One brother and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of Agudath Achim Synagogue, Huntingdon and was serving as president of the Sisterhood of the synagogue at the time of her death. She was employed with the Huntingdon Credit Exchange for a number of years and was active in the work of the Juniata Foundation for the Blind and the Huntingdon County Youth Guidance Council. She was a graduate of the Huntingdon public schools and Huntingdon High School and had been a lifelong resident of the Huntingdon area. Interment will be made in Agudath Achim Memorial Park in Henderson Township. Beulah L. Kline, formerly of 1122 Fifth Avenue, Altoona, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 1970 in Valley View Home, where she had been a guest for the past five years, after an extended illness. She was born in Shirleysburg September 12, 1893, a daughter of John P. and Mary (Grove) McALlister, and married David A. Kline, who died October 9, 1965. Surviving are two children, M. Dale of Altoona and Mrs. June M. Rollant of Harrisburg, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Amber Fuller of Hanover, Maryland. Mrs. Blanche L. Hummel, 66, of 306 Twelfth Street, Huntingdon, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1970, at 12:25 p.m. at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing heatlh for three years. The deceased was born April 14, 1903, in Hopewell Township, Bedford County, a daughter of James and Mary (Bollman) Livingstone. She was united in marriage to Wilbur G. Hummel in November, 1921, in Cumberland, Md. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Wilber Hummel of Ogden, Utah. A granddaughter, Holly Dee, also survives, along with these brothers and sisters; Mrs. Roxie Hammers, Huntingdon; Leo Livingstone, Martinsburg, W. Va.; George Livingstone, Hopewell; Mrs. Vera Curry, Salisbury, Md., and Mrs. Marjorie Brennen, Riddlesburg. Three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of the Twelfth Street United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star No. 130, Huntingdon. For a number of years she was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglas, Huntingdon. Interment will be mde in Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon, R.D. 1. Miss Blanche V. Laird, 205 Parker Street, Carlisle, a former Huntingdon resident, died Thursday morning, August 20, 1970, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary Boyer, 315 Front Street, Bolling Springs, following an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1901 in Huntingdon, daughter of Edwin W. and Eleanore (Giles) Laird. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Boyer, Boiling Springs and two brothers, Robert M. Laird, Hanover, and Vance C. Larid, Boiling Springs. Miss Laird was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huntingdon, and had been employed by Penelec of Huntingdon for 40 years. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery. Carl (Bing) Henry Bolinger, 63, of Three Springs; died Monday, October 23, 1967 at 8:20 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, where he had been a patient for one day. Born December 29, 1903 in Three Springs, Bolinger was reared in the home of his late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bolinger of Three Springs. He was married to Mary Heeps of Orbisonia. Surviving are his wife, two children, Jack H. Bolinger, Columbia and Mrs. Donald (Jane) Peters, Fayetteville and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three half-brother and sisters: Mrs. Althea DeMarkeo, Pitcairn; Mrs. Jean Johnston, Elyra, Ohio; Lawrence Booher, Pitcairn and two step-brothers, Charles and Guy Jones, both of Pitcairn. Bolinger was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Three Springs Volunteer Fire Company. During his lifetime he had been employed at the No. 9 coal mine in Woodvale and for the past 19 years at the Letterkenny Army Depot where he worked as a firefighter and radio taxi driver. Interment will be made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Carl W. Newingham, 66, of Mill Creek Star Route, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at 5:45 p.m. Friday, February 26, 1965. He had been in failing health for the past year. He entered the hospital early yesterday morning. Born April 2, 1898 at Huntingdon, he was a son of Charles and Katherine (Bunn) Newingham. He was united in marriage to Madeline Anderson on October 22, 1922 at Cumberland, Md. His wife survives along with the following children: Jack W. Newingham, Huntingdon, R.D.1; Mrs. Boyd (Dorothy) Henry, Huntingdon; William A. Newingham, Hesston, R.D.1; Thomas L. Newingham, Silverford Heights, Mount Union. There are nine grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the First Methodist Church in Huntingdon. A painter by trade, he spent most of his life in the Huntingdon area. Charles W. Buck, 1518 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church at Joller, died at 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 1970, at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for one year and entered the hospital as a patient on Tuesday. He was 74. He was born at Altoona on Sept. 30, 1895, a son of Samuel and Eugenia (Glunt) Buck. He was united in marriage to Ruth I. Young on June 7, 1917 at Cumberland,Md. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James R. Buck, West New York, N.J. One brother and three sisters also survive: Cloyd S. Buck, Mrs. Mabel Bollinger and Mrs. Trella Reese, all of Altoona, Mrs. Naomia Delvicchio, Stamford, Conn. One sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Huntingdon. He was licensed to preach on Feb. 20, 1966. For the past nine years he had been pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Joller. He had been a resident of Huntingdon for 13 years. He retired in October, 1961, as a locomotive engineer after 4 years of service with the Pennsylvania Railroad. Mr. Buck was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. (The rest of the obituary is missing) Charles Wesley Flasher, aged 77 years, 11 months, and 12 days; died at the home of his son, Charles Barton Flasher, 111 Milford Street, Mount Union, Pa., Tuesday, May 17, 1927, about 5:15 pm. Mr. Flasher had not been well since December, 1926, but had been able to go about. His death was sudden, however, and unexpected. He had prepared to walk down the street in the evening and had gone up to his room for a few moments, but suddenly fell and passed away before aid could be rendered. Mr. Flasher was the son of Jacob and Cristina Flasher. He was born in Perry County June 5, 1849, but has lived in Huntingdon County most of his life. He was by occupation a farmer; and attended the Brethren Church. He is survived by the following children: Charles B. Flasher, of Mount Union; Mrs. Luela Florence Cassidy, of Montana; and Syble Gutshall of Trough Creek; and the following brothers and sisters: William Flasher, of Mount Union; Jacob B. Flasher, of Sipestown; and Mrs. Sally Booher , of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held at the home of Charles B. Flasher, Friday, May 20, 1927, at 2:30 P.M. Rev. H.W. Mrs. Charlotte McCool, 65, of Huntingdon R.D.2, Oneida Township, died early this morning, Monday, October 11, 1965, at 2:25 o'clock in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past few years and had entered the hospital at 1 o'clock this morning. Born April 20, 1900, in Oneida Township, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and a son in infancy. She was united in marriage to Clarence A. McCool on March 12, 1921. Her husband survives along with a step-brother, Paul Jackson of Huntingdon R.D.2. The deceased was a member of the Donation Methodist Church, a trustee of the church and was serving on the official board of the church. She had served as treasurer for both the church and the Sunday School class. She belonged to the Women's Society of Christian Service and had taught the nursery class of the Sunday School for a number of years. She was devoted in her church work. Mrs. MCCool had been employed at the J.B. Kunz Company in Huntingdon for a number of years, retiring in 1958. Her entire life had been spent in Oneida Township. Interment will be made in Donation Cemetery. Clarence A. McCool, 82 years of age, died at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, on Monday evening, January 5, 1970, at 10:40 o'clock. McCool, a resident of Oneida Township, Huntingdon R.D. 2, had been a patient at the hospital since December 1. He had been in failing health for the past few months. Born March 10, 1887, in Oneida Township, he was a son of George and Nancy (Frew) McCool. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Conrad on March 12, 1921. She preceded him in death October 11, 1965. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. One son died in infancy. McCool was a member of the Donation United Methodist Church. He was employed by the J.B. Kunz Company of Huntingdon for a number of years. His entire life was spent in Oneida Township. Interment will be made in Donation Cemetery. Clarence E. Robinson, 61, of 1422 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon died unexpectedly at his home this morning, Monday, June 19, 1967, at 6:30 o'clock. He apparently suffered a fatal heart seizure upon arising to go to work. Born at McConnellstown on November 11, 1905, he was a son of Isaiah and Mary (Staley) Robinson. He was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Prough on December 21, 1934 in the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church by the Rev. O.B. Poulson. His wife survives along with a brother, George Robinson of Huntingdon, and these sisters: Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Hileman, Mount Union; Mrs. Richard (Betty) Winstead, Lemont; Mrs. Frank (Nellie) Rupert, Alexandria. Two infant sisters preceded him in death. The deceased was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church, Huntingdon. He was a member of the Huntingdon County Game, Fish and Forestry Association. For the past six years, Robinson had been employed at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital as head of the store and receiving department. Formerly he had been employed at the Huntingdon Throwing Mill and Owens-Corning Fiberglas. Clyde Corby of Mount Union died Thrusday, March 24, 1966, in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntington after an extended illness. Born January 3, 1890, in Williamsport, Md. he was a son of Luther and Retta (Paupenbarger) Funkhouser. Interment will be made in Shirleysburg Cemetery. Dale Charles Edwards, 58, of McConnellstown died Friday, November 17, 1967, at 7 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for the past six months and a patient of the hospital for the past 11 days. Born December 6, 1908 in Penn Township, Huntingdon County, he was a son of Andrew and Margaret (Morgan) Edwards. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Dean on August 29, 1931. His wife survives, along with these chidlren: Gerald Edwards, Huntingdon R.D.1; Kenneth Edwards, Grovetown, Ga.; Robert Edwards, Louisville, Ky.; Frederick Edwards, Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Patricia Wertz, McConnellstown; Mrs. Joann Walker, Huntingdon R.D.2; and David Edwards, at home. There are 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sister: Mrs. Jesse Bollinger, Pitcairn; John Edwards, Pitcairn; Joseph Edwards, Hanover; Elvin Edwards, Hesston, R.D.; Melvin Edwards, Pitcairn and William Edwards, Williamsburg. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. The deceased attended the Church of the Nazarene at McConnellstown. For the past 23 years he had been employed in the winding department of Owens-Corning Fiberglas. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon R.D.1. Mrs. Edna Mae Booher, 69, of Orbisonia Star Route, died at her home Saturday, November -------. She was born May 11, 1901, in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, a daughter of Thomas and Laura (Flasher) Barron. She was united in marriage to Orville Booher of Cromwell Township on March 17, 1923, in Huntingdon by the Rev. George J. Colledge. Her husband preceded her in death November 9, 1967. The following children survive: Kenneth L. Booher and Mrs. Martin (Maxine) Shore, both of Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Ruth A. Fouse, Rockhill Furnace; Mrs. Richard (Burnis) Brown and Mrs. Wayne (Sarah) Groge, both of Orbisonia Star Route; Mrs. Fred (Grace) Gumbert, Hatfield. There are 13 grandchildren. These sisters and brother survive: Mrs. Grace Brown, Three Springs R.D. ; Mrs. Dolly Cramer and Mrs. Myrtle Painter, both of Allenport; Mrs. Lenora Henderson, Georgetown and Sheldon Barron, Three Springs R.D. The deceased was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church at Three Springs R.D. She belonged to the Busy Bee Bible class of her church. Interment will be made in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery at Rockhill Furnace. Edna L. Wilson Cree, 74, of Calvin died early this morning, Monday, March 28, 1966, at 2:17 o'clock in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. Born May 16, 1891, in West Virginia, she was a daughter of David A. and Kathryn (Thomas) Hendershott. A stepmother, Mrs. Abbie Hendershott of Buffalo Mills survives. She was twice married, first to Benner S. Wilson who preceded her in death on April 20, 1948. She later married Melvin Cree, who survives, along with these children: Mrs. Elda Booher, Allenport; Irvin Cree, Chicago, Ill.; Doyle Cree, Orlando, Fla,; Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) Cramer and Mrs. Walter (Betty) Houck, both of Huntingdon. Two daughters to the first union survive: Mrs. Walter (Evelynn) Jones, Turtle Creek and Mrs. Edward (Feryne) Reardon, Wilmerding. A son, Benner S. Wilson, Jr., preceded her in death. There are 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the First Baptist Church, Three Springs. She was a member of the Order of Amaranth, Huntingdon and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Pocahontas Chapter of Orlando, Fla. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, at 2 p.m. from the McClain Funeral --------------- (The rest of the obituary is missing) Elizabeth Donaldson, 89, who resided with her son-in-law and daugther, Mr. and Mrs. James Milligan of 2729 Warm Springs Avenue, Huntingdon, died last evening, July 10, 1970, at the J.C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon. She was born May 28, 1881 at Puttstown, a daughter of David and Mary Jane (Bryan) Putt. She married William M. Donaldson April 5, 1902 in Puttstown. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two children, Mrs. James (Kleda) Milligan of Huntingdon,, and Blair E. Donaldson of Orange City, Florida. Three sons preceded her in death. there are 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of a family of 10 children. There are a number of nieces and nephews surviving. The deceased was a member of the Church of God of Saxton. Interment will be made in Fochler Cemetery, Saxton. A well known Cassville man, Ellis A. Pheasant, 71, died at 2:05 a.m. this morning, Saturday, July 25, 1970, at the Altoona Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past six weeks. Born February 18, 1899 in Cass Township, he was the son of Harry B. and Ella (Lynn) Pheasant. On December 25, 1925 in Mill Creek, he was united in marriage to Lola David, who preceded him in death in June 1962. Surviving are a son Clair Pheasant of Huntingdon R.D. 1 and a daughter Mrs. Robert (Marie) Park of Cassville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, John Ellis Park and Kim Marie Park, both of Cassville. Pheasant's step-mother Rosa Pheasant of Cassville and a step- sister Mrs. Keith (Flora) Griffith of Broad Top R.D., also survive. Pheasant transported milk for a period of 40 years from the Trough Creek Valley area to the Supplee-Willis-Jones Milk Company of Huntingdon. He was also a school bus contractor for the Tussey Mountain and Southern Huntingdon County School Districts, retiring in 1968. The deceased was a member of the Cassville United Mehtoist Church. Elected to the board of directors of the First National Bank of Mapleton in 1935, he served as vice president of the bank since 1954. He was a member of Cromwell Lodge F&AM No. 572, Orbisonia, Standing Stone Chapter No. 201, Huntingdon Commander Knights Templar No. 65 and Jaffa Shrine of Altoona. A director of the Huntingdon County Motor Club, Pheasant was a charter member of the Trough Creek Valley Lions Club, a member of the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Company and a director and treasurer of the Cassville Cemetery Association. A veteran of World War I, he was a life member of Standing Stone Post 1754, VFW, Huntingdon. Interment will be made in the Cassville Cemetery.
