Miss Elsie Mae Hutchison of 311 Washington Street, Huntingdon, died at her 
home at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 1936.  She had been in her usual health, 
but became suddenly ill the day before her death.
Miss Hutchison was born in West Township, Petersburg, Huntingdon County, on 
July 31, 1868, a daughter of Redmond and Barbara (Rudy) Hutchison.  She moved 
to Huntingdon with her sisters in the early 1900’s and had been a resident of 
the community since that time.
She never married and is the last surviving member of a family of nine.  A 
number of nieces and nephews survive.
The deceased was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7 [note: newspaper made an 
error here and it should have read June 7], at Brown’s Huntingdon.  The Rev. 
Kenneth I. Duncan, pastor the Alexandria Presbyterian Church, will officiate.  
Interment will be at the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.  Friends will be 
received at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
