M. shabodeho@aol.com August 2, 2010, 10:14 pm Daily News 1/1/1940 Helen Alice Imler, daughter of Joseph E. and Ella May (Moore) Imler, died at the family home in Brady township, near Mill Creek, this morning, January 1, 1940, at 5:40 o'clock, after an illness of sixteen days. She was born at Bakers Summit, Bedford county, on February 25, 1924. At the time of death she was aged 15 years, ten months and six days. She attended the Lutheran Sunday School at Mill Creek and had finished eighth grade at the Center school in Brady township. Surviving are the parents, one brother, Andrew, five sisters, Lilian, Freda and Betty, all at home, Mrs. Dorothy Demer, of New Paris, and Mrs. Marie Oldham, of Allen Bank. Friends may call at the Imler home from Tuesday noon until 1:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. After a short prayer service at this time, the body will be taken to the Lutheran church, Mill Creek, where services will be held at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Carl Kauffman, pastor of the Mapleton and Mill Creek charge of the Lutheran church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery, Mill Creek, directed by Blatt's funeral service.
