The Tomb.

INGRAM. - At her residence in Franklin township, on the 1st inst., Mrs. 
Mary Ann Ingram, in the 74th year of her age.

  In the death of this estimable lady the community in which she 
resided for more than a half century, has sustained a loss which will 
long be felt, and a large circle of sorrowing relatives and friends 
have realized that a "Mother in Israel" has been taken from them.  
Loved, trusted and honored, in all the relations of a well-spent life, 
as a wife, a mother, a friend and benefactress, none knew her but to 
praise.
  "In the time of the harvest," like "a shock of corn fully ripe," she 
has been gathered to the harvest of the finally faithful.  At 10 
o'clock, on Sabbath morning, 3d inst., her remains were borne by gentle 
hands, over the same threshold which on that day just fifty-two years 
ago she had crossed as a happy bride, and tenderly consigned to their 
last resting place in the Graysville cemetery, followed by a large 
concourse of sympathizing friends and neighbors of the bereaved family, 
the funeral services being conducted by the Rev. Kelly, pastor of the 
church of which she was a member.
  Surrounded by a loving and affectionate family, whose willing hands 
and tender hearts were ever ready to minister to her wants, she passed 
away, sustained in her last moments by the hopes of a blessed 
immortality.  He "that turneth the shadow of death into morning" was 
her comfort and stay amid the swellings of death's Jordan and the way 
through the dark valley was cheered by the presence of Him
  "Who captive led captivity,
  Who robbed the grave of victory,
    And took the sting from death."
