M. shabodeho@aol.com November 17, 2010, 1:32 pm Huntingdon Daily News 1/11/1940 John Wesley Isenberg, for the past nine years an invalid, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kennedy, 563 Washington Avenue, Tyrone on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1940, at 3:30 o'clock. John Isenbergwas born June 13, 1853, at Alexandria, Pa., a son of John and Elizabeth Isenberg. On January 2, 1877, at Grafton, Pa., he was united in marriage with Anna Elizabeth Ross. Mrs. Isenberg died 21 years ago. Surviving are these children: Cloyd C. Isenberg, Chicago; Fred G. Isenberg, Cleveland; Mrs. GrantStiles and Mrs. Harvey Kennedy, Tyrone; Captain Anna Isenberg, New York City; one brother, Amos Isenberg, Altoona. There are also seven grandchildren andtwo great-grandchildren. Mr. Isenberg had been bedfast from illness at the Kennedy home, where he was received every kindly attention during the trying years. He was a lifelong member of the First United Brethren church of Tyrone, and when health permitted was active in the work of the church. Before retirement and illness, Mr. Isenberg followed the occupations of farmer and machinist. Funeral services will be held at the Kennedy home, 563 Washington avenue, Tyrone, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conductedby Rev H. G. Reese, pastor of the First United Brethren church.
