Manasseh Isenberg died at his home in Huntingdon on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 5 a.m. He had been in declining health for about a year, but continued at work until about three weeks ago, when he was compelled to give it up owing to stomach and heart trouble. Deceased was the son of John and Catharine Isenberg, both deceased, and was born in Alexandria about 71 years ago, where he resided until about fifteen years ago, when he came to Huntingdon, where he has since been permanently located. He was a blacksmith by trade which he followed all his life. On July 5, 1866, he was united in marriage to Miss Catharine Larkins, of Barree. He was a well known and highly respected citizen and a consistent member of the First Methodist church, where he always took an active part in the work of the church and its various branches. He is survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters: Rhoda, wife of Charles Crowell, of Altoona; Rebecca, wife of Irvin Leeper, of Petersburg; John H. Isenberg, of Huntingdon; Blanche, wife of Jesse Isenberg, of Boston, Mass.; Charles W. Isenberg, and George W. Isenberg, both of Altoona. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and by the following brothers and sisters: Ephraim, of Clearfield county; George, of Tyrone; John and Samuel, of Butler, Pa.; Amos, of Altoona; Mrs. Elizabeth Shanner and Mrs. Nannie Bryan, both of Bellwood. The funeral is being held today at 1:30 p.m., conducted by his pastor, Rev. George S. Womer, with interment in the Alexandria cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, November 16, 1918
