Saturday's TRIBUNE made a brief announcement of the decease of Hugh Johnson. We learn the following further particulars from the Huntingdon News: His body was found in the waters of Shavers' Creek, some distance up the valley. From information received it appears that he had left home on Thursday for the purpose of procuring a team that he might come to Huntingdon to attend his sister's wedding. His route led him to cross a small foot bridge over the creek, and it is supposed that he was taken with a fit, or became dizzy, and fell off into the bed of the stream, where he was drowned. Not appearing at the wedding, and the fact that he had left home to come here, caused a search to be made for him on Friday, which ended as above. Deceased had been of weak mind for a number of years, and was upwards of 35 years of age. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, September 21, 1880
