We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ William Howry JONES, 83, of Metuchen, N.J., died July 28, 2004, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J. Mr. Jones was born in Lancaster and resided in Huntingdon while attending Huntingdon High School and Juniata College. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Barbolak) Jones of Boca Raton, Fla., and the Rev. Philip B. Carr-Jones of Lebanon; and two daughters, Stephanie R. Stoy of Boonton, N.J., and Elizabeth M. Mills of Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Katelin, Alex, Casey, Austin, Tori, Carrie, Ian, Joseph, Philip, Jonathan and Robin; and two great-grandchildren. One brother and two sisters survive: Robert W. Jones of Sandiego, Calif., Marcia J. Reynolds of Huntingdon and Nancy J. Giles of Manassas, Va. Mr. Jones was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Metuchen, N.J., where he was a member of the choir and former member of the vestry. He was a life member of the American Chemical Society and a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity. He was a fellow of the New York academy of Sciences and was a founding member of the Organic Reaction Catalysis Society. He held over one dozen chemical patents, of which Vitamin B-12 was the most prominent. He graduated from Juniata College and received his master's degree from Columbia University, where he did important work on the Manhattan Project. He earned his Ph.D. from MIT. Mr. Jones was a research chemist at Merck & Co. in Rahway, N.J., for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He had resided in Metchen, N.J., for the past 53 years. A memorial service was held Aug. 2, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Metchen, N.J. Harry Lee Ormsby III, 60, of State College, PA, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1943 in Tyrone, PA to Harry Lee Ormsby Jr., who survives, and the late Helen (Moore) Ormsby. In McConnellstown, PA, on January 27, 1962, he married Norma Mae Patterson, who survives at their residence in State College, Patton Township where he had lived for the past 30 years and in Bellefonte prior to that. Mr. Ormsby graduated from Juniata Valley High School with the Class of 1961. He was a self-employed carpet installer who enjoyed both hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He was of the Protestant Faith. Mr. Ormsby is survived by two daughters, Cindy Lee Corl and her husband Kent of Bellefonte, PA, Kelly Jo Kormanic and her husband John of Huntingdon, PA; three brothers, Dave Ormsby of Petersburg, PA, Jim Ormsby of Huntingdon, PA, Doug Ormsby of Petersburg, PA; two sisters, Karen Ormsby of Huntingdon, PA, Pam Railer of Florida and four grandchildren John Kormanic, K.C. Corl, Josh Kormanic, and Jessica Corl. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmie Lee Ormsby and a brother, Terry Ormsby. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2004 with James L. Blair officiating at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home-Juniata Valley Chapel, 412 Main Street, Alexandria, PA. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2004 and interment will be at the Burket Cemetery in Warriors Mark, PA.
