KANN Smithfield woman dies unexpectedly on Wed. Daisy H. (Parks) Kann, 80, of 108 South 14th St., Huntingdon, died unexpectedly at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1992, at her home. Born Jan. 12, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Hockenberry) Parks. She was married to Harold E. "Horsey" Kann, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Harold A. "Herb" Kann, of Huntingdon R.D. 1; a sister, Iva Robinson, Huntingdon; two nieces and a nephew. Two brothers, Harry Parks and Matthew Parks, and an infant sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Kann was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Huntingdon. While primarily a homemaker, she had worked for many years at the Huntingdon Silk Mill and its successor, Owens-Corning Fiberglass, from which she retired in 1948. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Palmer L. Zerbe officiating, assisted by the Rev. David J. Arseneault. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery, Mill Creek. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening (Friday), from 7-9 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions, in remembrance of Daisy H. Kann, be given to the Home Nursing Agency, Bryan St., Huntingdon, Pa. 16652.
