Atlee in Sinking Valley at one o'clock Sunday morning, whither she had gone about three weeks ago with the hope that she would gain improvement in health. She was a sufferer from heart trouble for about eight months. Deceased was the daughter of Samuel Funk, who died at the Templeton homestead near Arch Spring in 1893, and Eliza Funk, who survives. She was born at Huntingdon Furnace on the 28th July, 1849, and at death was aged 50 years, 9 months and 15 days. Besides her mother, her husband and one son, Clyde, survive, together with one brother and one sister, namely: Blair Funk of Birmingham, and Mrs. John S. Atlee. She was the niece of Mrs. Anna Smith and cousin of Mrs. Ella Black and M. C. Cherry, of Tyrone. Deceased was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral was held Tuesday. Services at the home of John S. Atlee at 10 o'clock a.m., by Revs. J. R. Shipe and H. H. Henry. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery, Birmingham. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., May 17, 1900, page 5
