Kerlin Billee Rae Delaney Kerlin, 70, of Hummelstown, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, in Blue Ridge Haven East, Susquehanna Township. Funeral services were held May 21 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with the Rev. Joanne Montgomery Link and the Rev. Charles L. Klinger, her pastors, officiating. Interment was in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Services were under the direction of the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Born in Mount Union on May 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Harriett Gross Delaney. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dean R. "Diz" Kerlin; two sons, Rodney D. Kerlin of Oxford and Robert D. Kerlin of Marietta; three daughters, the Rev. Lisa Kerlin Klinger (wife of Robert Klinger) of York, Linda Kerlin Jackson (wife of Douglas Jackson) of Hummelstown and Cindy Kerlin Stuart (wife of Jay Stuart) of Palmyra; two sisters, Shirley Puchalla of Mount Union and Jean D. (wife of James E.) McKnight of Hummelstown; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. Delaney, on March 6, 2001. Mrs. Kerlin was a 1949 graduate of Mount Union High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, and its Challengers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Kerlin retired from the Wrapping Department of the Hershey Chocolate Corporation. She was also a member of the Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, Hershey. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, winter trips to Florida and spending time with her family.
