KETTERMAN, died at his home at Entriken, Saturday, October 22nd, of cancer of the stomach. The deceased was born in York county, Pa., December 26, 1828, and was aged 75 years, 9 months and 26 days. He came to Huntingdon county in 1847 and in 1848 took up the business of surveying in addition to his other occupations. He was elected county surveyor in 1887 and filled the office with satisfaction to all for six years. Mr. Ketterman was postmaster in Tod and Lincoln townships for 28 years and for 14 years was bookkeeper and assistant manager of Paradise furnace. He was elected justice of the peace in Lincoln township in 1885 and held the office continuously up to his death. The deceased was a consistent member of the Reformed church and took an active part in all church and Sunday school work. Mr. Ketterman is survived by his wife, one son, four brothers and five sisters. Huntingdon New Era Journal, Wednesday, November 2, 1904
