Kline, 88, of RD1 Box 264, Mount Union, died July 14, at his home in Shirley Township. The funeral service was held on Monday, July 17 at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Officiating was Pastor Jeff Winstead and interment was in Haven Rest Memorial Park, RR1, Shirleysburg. He was born August 13, 1917, in East Waterford, Juniata County, the son of the Late George B. Kline Sr. and Olive (McClure) Kline. Mr. Kline was married to Scenie L. (Hancock) Kline on December 30, 1939, in Lancaster. She preceded him in death on August 20, 1984. He is survived by four daughters: Loretta K. Doyle of Rockhill Furnace; Fonda A. Forshey of Three Springs; Sandra F. King of Huntingdon; Glenda Jane McClain and husband Philip D. of East Waterford. There are nine grandchildren, one step grandchild and 16 great- grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brother and sisters: George Kline and wife, Velma, of Culpepper, VA; Grace Stine of Lewistown; Fae Jaymes of Mount Union; and Betty Hooper and husband Ken, of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, brother and a sisters: Lettie Clark, Beulah Croyle, Harry Kline, Edna Lanich, and Mary Fazenbaker. Mr. Kline was employed at one time by the PRR, Harbison-Walker Refractories in Mount Union, and was a self-employed carpet layer, working for McMullen's Furniture Store and Shapiro's Furniture Store, both of Mount Union, and Moore's, Orbisonia. He was a lifelong member of the Allenport Lions Club. Mr. Kline was of the Methodist faith. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting mushrooms.
