Morrison Knepp died in Clarksburg, W.Va., on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 7 a.m., from the effects of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. Deceased was the son of Emory and Amanda Knepp, and was born at Tyrone, on July 14, 1886. He grew to manhood in Mount Union, where his parents have resided for a number of years. He was a graduate of the Mount Union High school, and worked when quite young at bridge construction, having started in this line of occupation when the stone arch bridge was built over the Juniata river at that place. He continued in this line of work until the time of his death, having been the superintendent of the Luton Bridge company. He was an expert bridge builder, and has overseen the work of some of the largest and best bridges in the country. He was married to Miss Martha Keesey, who was also ill with influenza, but was able to attend the funeral. The body arrived in Mount Union on Tuesday, where short services were held at the home of his parents on Shirley street, with interment in the family plot in the Odd Fellos' cemetery.
