Knode, one of the most prominent residents of Alexandria, died at the Juniata House of which he had been proprietor for the past eight years, at noon Friday of a complication of diseases. Mr. Knode was highly respected in the community in the affairs and betterment of which he had been very active, having served as a burgess for several years. He was born in Hartslog valley 56 years ago and had resided all his life in the vicinity of Tyrone and Alexandria. He was an active member of the Christ Reformed church. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Samuel, of Tyrone, and these sisters: Mrs. H. J. Schultz, of Marklesburg; Cynthia, of Florida; Mrs. Henry Neff, of Alexandria, and Mrs. Mary Foust, of Huntingdon. Funeral services will be held from his late home, Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
