Kowalski, 52, of 125 Little River Rd, Goose Creek, SC, died on Sunday, February 1, at his residence in Penna. in New Albany. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 7, at the Presbyterian Church, Mount Union, with Rev. Franklin Moist officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. He was born on September 1, 1956, in Huntingdon and was the son of the late Michael Kowalski and Delores (Shepherd) Kowalski, who resides in Huntingdon. Mr. Kowalski is survived by his wife Candy (Hatch) Kowalski and is also survived by a daughter, Rachel Kowalski of Hanover and a stepson, Mitchell Epler of New Albany. He is also survived by two sisters: Melissa Kowalski Moore of Huntingdon; Carole Kowalski Sechrist of Hustontown also four nephews and a niece survive. Mr. Kowalski was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School, Class of 1974. He had been employed by Henkels and McCoy for 16 years. Following this, he had his own business, MK Contractors, for 15 years, retiring in 2005. Mr. Kowalski enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and South Carolina Gamecocks fan. He loved spending time at the beach and loved his dog, "Cocoa." He will be remembered by his family for the light of his goodness, for his willingness to lend a helping hand and for his strength.
