All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ MISS LENA LAIRD Miss Lena Laird, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laird, of Mill Creek, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Bush, of 724 Warmsprings avenue, Huntingdon, Pa., on Tuesday, Oct. 15th, from the effect of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. She had been a sufferer from heart and kidney trouble for more than a year and was in a very weak condition at the time of contracting the disease. She was born Jan. 9th, 1909, being aged at time of death 9 years, 8 months and 24 days. The boy was prepared for burial by Brown brothers and shipped to Mill Creek on Tuesday, where services were conducted at the home of her parents on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 by the Rev. Covert, pastor of the Methodist church of Mill Creek, with interment in the Mill Creek cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, October 19, 1918
