Leonard, 96 a resident of Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, died at 4:50 a.m., Saturday, February 17 at Woodland. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 21 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia with Rev. Ed Seeley officiating. Interment was held at the Orbisonia Cemetery. Born March 2, 1910 in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jenny (Yetter) Leonard. Ms. Leonard was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by one brother ad seven sisters. She was fondly thought of by numerous nieces and nephews that survive. Ms. Leonard was a member of he Orbisonia United Methodist Church. In her early years, Ms. Leonard was employed at Swigart Associates, Huntingdon, and then at the Corner Room Restaurant in State College. She enjoyed a career at Penn State University where she was personal assistant to Dean Ed Keller. She was responsible for helping to open many PSU branch campuses throughout Pennsylvania. She was an avid football fan, Ms. Leonard enjoyed the privilege of 50 yard line seating and rarely missed a home game. Ms. Leonard was a well-rounded traveler and had a skilled artist's hand for hand painted china. She was, according to good friend Mary Fleming, an active and longtime member of the Business and Professional Women. After retirement from Penn State University, Ms. Leonard moved back to Orbisonia where she made her home here until her death. Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, February 21, 2007
