Mrs. Zeola B. Lightner of 250 Main Street, Everett, a native of Shirley 
Township, Huntingdon County, died on Saturday, January 20, 1962, at the Bedford 
County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for sometime and had been a patient 
in the hospital for the past five weeks.

She was born June 11, 1885, in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, a daughter 
of Winfield A. and Margaret E. (Dever) Walker. She was married to Charles 
Lightner of Shirleysburg at Orbisonia in 1922 by the Rev. Mr. Cowan of the 
Presbyterian Church.

Her husband survives along with two children: William F. Campbell of Lewistown, 
and Mrs. Harry (Jessie) Calhoun of Everett. There are five grandchildren. Also 
surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Shirleysburg, R.D.

She was a member of the Shirleysburg Presbyterian Church. For a period of 25 
years Mrs. Lightner was tax collector for Shirleysburg Borough. After leaving 
Shirleysburg Mrs. Lightner spent two years in Lewistown and for the past year 
had been residing with her daughter at Everett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday from the Presbyterian 
Church at Shirleysburg. The Rev. Paul Gettinger, pastor of the Everett 
Presbyterian Church, and Dr. John Taylor of the Shirleysburg charge, will 
officiate. Interment will be made in the Stone Church of the Brethren Cemetery 
in Germany Valley. Friends will be received at the Ott funeral home from 7 p.m. 
Tuesday until noon on Wednesday and then at the church until the hour for the 
service.
