On December 17, 1888, Mr. Long was transferred to the passenger station, where he became a car inspector and was later made depot carpenter. I am not related to this family, however, George Long was a friend of my great- grandfather, David Newton Palmer. I found several newspaper obits in an old family bible. The obit has been transcribed exactly as the newspaper clipping was printed. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 2.6 Kb
