(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: December 24, 1868 Died at Huntingdon, Pa., on the 2d inst., Mrs. Julia M. Miles, wife of John G. Miles, Esq. Mrs. Miles was born at Blockley, on the 10th of September 1793. She was the only daughter of Major Mathew McConnell, who served with distinction in the war of the Revolution, from 1775 to the disbanding of the army in 1783, except when disabled from active duty in the field, in consequence of a severe wound received at the battle of Brandywine. Her mother, Ruth Hall, resided at Philadelphia during the Revolution, where she and her sister, afterwards wife of Alexander Fullerton, (the first,) so distinguished themselves in their exertions to relieve our suffering soldiers, that they received the thanks of the Continental Congress...
