RICE MADDEN,

A well known resident of Water Street, died at his home at that place of 
pneumonia, yesterday morning.  He was aged about 60 years and had lived a 
number of years in the vicinity of Water Street.  He was a veteran of the 
late war.  He is survived by two sisters, one in Water Street and the other 
in Kansas.  The interment will be made in Water Street.
