William M. Mason

  William Morrow Mason, 91 of 102 East Shirley Street, Mount Union, 
died at his home at 5:04 a.m. this Saturday, December 8, 1956.  He had 
been seriously ill for the past 2 weeks.
  Mr. Mason was born in Germany Valley on April 19, 1865.  He was 
united in marriage to Anna Parsons of Tuscarora Valley on March 13, 
1895, in Mount Union by the Rev. David H. Campbell.
  The Masons made their first home in Mount Union and resided there 
their entire married lives.  The deceased retired from the Harbison 
Walker Refractories Company in 1941 after having served the company for 
48 years.  He was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church 
of Mount Union.
  Surviving are his widow and the following children:  Mrs. Charles 
(Rose) Crouse, Shirleysburg; William A. Mason, at home; Mrs. H. S. 
(Olive) Huey, Mill Creek, R. D.; Harbison W. W. Mason, Mrs. Merril 
(Pauline) Linn, Kistler; Mrs. John R. (Helen) Holder, Shirleysburg, R. 
D.; Mrs. R. N. (Anna) Zimmerman and Charles R. Mason, Mount Union.  
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Two 
daughters, Margaret and Naomi, and one son Joseph preceded him in 
death.
