TYRONE NEWS ITEMS.

  Warren K. McCahan died at his home at Birmingham, at 11 o'clock on Friday 
forenoon, of consumption of the lungs, having been ill about two months.  He 
was aged 290 years and 5 months.  He was the son of the late John K. 
McCahan, who was postmaster at Birmingham when he died, about three years 
ago.  Deceased had been a telegraph operator for the Pennsylvania railroad 
company at Birmingham for a number of years.  His wife, Mrs. Carrie McCahan, 
and baby, Robert, survive, together with his mother, Mrs. Mary McCahan, sr., 
and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ella Giles, now the postmaster at 
Birmingham; Mrs. H. L. Pryor, S. H., Dorothy, Wm. C., D. May, B. Frank, R. 
Clark, and R. Bruce McCahan, all of Birmingham.  The funeral was held at the 
late home of the deceased at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.  Services were 
conducted by Revs. H. H. Henry and J. R. Shipe.
