McCALL, a life long resident of this county, well known and highly respected, died at his home 417 Eleventh street, Sunday morning at 6 o'clock, aged 60 years, 2 months and 18 days. The deceased lived most of his life in the vicinity of McAlevy's Fort, but moved to town about three years ago. His wife and eight children survive him: Mrs. Joseph R. Bigelow, Mrs. Jerome A. Jones, Altoona; Mrs. J. Wallace Davis, Petersburg; Mrs. Chas. A. Smith and Misses Anna and Grace at home. Thomas M., McAlevy's Fort; and Jas. S., Huntingdon, also three sisters: Misses Kate and Ellen McCall, of Union Church; and Mrs. Mary Dean, Huntingdon. He served his country in the civil war in Co. D, 205th regiment. Funeral services were held at his late home at 9:30 o'clock this morning with interment at Union Church, cemetery. Huntingdon New Era Journal, Wednesday, November 2, 1904
