WILLIAM McCLURE. We only heard on Monday of the death of our old friend and patron, Mr. William McClure, of West township, which sad event occurred at his farm residence, near Petersburg, on Monday, the 15th inst. Mr. McClure was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew him, and although he had outlived the allotted three score and ten years, his death will be regretted by a large circle of relatives, friends and acquaintances. At the ripe age of 73 he has gone to join his wife who preceded him to the spirit land nine years ago. Seven children survive him: Mrs. W. S. Leffard, of Warren, Pa.; Mrs. Simon Hyskell, Potter's Mills, Centre county, Pa.; C. N. McClure, Petersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Bertha Norris, Huntingdon, and Annie, Benton and Milo, who reside at the homestead. The funeral took place on Wednesday and was largely attended by a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The Huntingdon Journal, Huntingdon, Pa., Friday, August 26, 1887
