Deceased was 60 years of age and resided at Mt. Union. McCoy was hurt yesterday morning at Spruce Creek, where he was employed by Contractors Sparks & Evans on No. 1 bridge. A large trestle fell on him and pinioned him against a stone abutment. He was released and brought to the hospital here. An examination revealed the fact that he was fatally hurt. He sustained a dislocation of the right hip, a fracture of the breast bone and several ribs and a puncture of the right lung. Everything possible was done to relieve his suffering, but to no avail, and he quietly passed away at the time mentioned. The remains were turned over to an undertaker to be prepared for burial.
