Medaugh, a well known resident of Water Street, in which vicinity he had resided during his entire lifetime, died of a complication of diseases at 1 o'clock yesterday morning, aged 66 years, 1 month and 10 days. He had been ailing nearly two years. The deceased was born near Alexandria, December 18, 1840, and was a stonemason by occupation. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Water Street, and was also a charter member of Hartslog lodge No. 286, I.O.O.F., of Alexandria. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Mrs. Caroline A. Medaugh and two sons and three daughters, namely: H. W. Medaugh, Water Street; S. W. Medaugh, Altoona; Mrs. Alice Stauffer, Petersburg; Mrs. Henrietta Stauffer, Allegheny; Mrs. Bessie Treese, Alexandria. One brother surviving him is F. H. Medaugh, Nashville, Tenn. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. A. D. Potts at the home of the deceased, at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made at Alexandria.
