WILLIAM MERRITS

Died at his home in Tyrone at 3 o'clock yesterday morning, aged 66 years, 9 
months and 21 days.  He was born at Springfield Furnace, March 10, 1829, and 
had been manager of one of the Huntingdon Furnace farms for thirty-three 
years, but for the last three years had lived in Tyrone.  He is survived by 
his wife, Caroline, and seven sons and two daughters and nineteen 
grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held in the Second Methodist 
church, Tyrone, tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock, to be conducted by his 
pastor, Rev. V. T. Rue; interment in the cemetery at Warriorsmark.
