Miller, 64, of RD 2, Box 259, Mount Union, died at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at the Hillview Nursing Center Altoona, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Dayton Sines officiating. Interment was made in the Mount Union Cemetery. Born March 1, 1936, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Cloyd and Thelda (Moore) Miller. He was united in marriage to Gladys M. (Ramsey) Miller on Aug. 15, 1954, in Mount Union. Mrs. Miller preceded him in death May 23, 1994. Surviving are the following children: Kevin L. Miller, of RD1 McVeytown, Lynette Parson of Shade Gap, Bryan L. Miller of RD1 Shirleysburg, Codie Miller of Mount Union, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Sonnie Luebke of Erie, a half sister, Anne Lord of Erie and a half brother, Bennie Manendo of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by a half sister, Carol Miller. He attended the Shirley Township schools. Mr. Miller was retired from the Penn Central National Bank of Mount Union in 1994, with a number of years of service. He was a current member of the Shirley Township Sewer Authority and the Allenport Lion's Club. Mr. Miller enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Miller was of the Protestant faith. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., December 6, 2000
