Mills, 88, of Tannery Road, Shade Gap, died at 12:10 p.m., Thursday, December 8 at her home. She had been in failing health for the last two years with a marked decline in the past six months. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 12 at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap with Rev. Harold Imes officiating. Interment was made at Fair Ridge Cemetery, Shade Gap. Born December 19, 1916 in Tell Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Blanch (Locke) Linn. She was married to Leroy K. Mills on August 1, 1936 at Hagerstown, Md. Mr. Mills preceded in death August 14, 1993. Surivnig are the following children: Roxanna Miller and her husband Eugene; Garret MIlls and his wife Linda and Dale Mills and his wife Terry all of Shade Gap. Thirteen grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survive. Also surviving are the following sister Ruth Berrier of East Waterford and Lena Berrier of Enola. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Mainly a homemaker during her life, she was also employed as a cook at the Val- E Restaurant located near the Willow Hill exchange of the Pa. Turnpike and at Hilltop Restaurant in Shade Gap. She also worked a the Willow Hill Motel. Mrs. Millls was a member of the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Fair Ridge Women's Ministries. She was also a member of the Shade Gap Senior Citizens and the Shade Gap Golden Agers.. She was very faithful to her church and very dedicated to god and her family.
