Moffet, widow of Mahlon L. Moffet, died at 11:15 o’clock Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, the remains to be brought to her home 422 South First Street, Bellwood. The deceased was a daughter of George E. and Elizabeth (Armstrong) Porter and she was born Oct. 19, 1874, at Warrior Ridge, Huntingdon county. Since the death of her husband last April, Mrs. Moffet had not been in good health although the immediate cause of death was pneumonia which developed early Tuesday morning. Her ancestors settled in Logan township, Huntingdon county back in 1765 and participated in the Revolutionary War. She was a member of the Logan Valley Presbyterian church of Bellwood. Surviving are two sons, H. Cleon Moffet of Pittsburgh, Mahlon M. Moffet, at home; one sister, Mrs. R. H. Wilson of Petersburg and one brother, John Porter of California.
