Horace C. Moffet, 6648 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, died at his home at 11 
o’clock Wednesday morning, Feb. 4, 1948, after a brief illness.
He was born in Bellwood on Sept. 27, 1904, the son of Mahlon and Elizabeth 
(Porter) Moffet both deceased.  His parents were former residents of Shavers 
Creek Valley. 
 He married Ruth Brehm of Uniontown, who survives.                
Also surviving are two sons, James and Robert, at home, and one brother, 
Mahlon, Bellwood.                
He was a member of East Liberty Presbyterian Church of which he was a deacon, 
and Pittsburgh Lodge F. and A. M.                
Friends will be received at the Bellwood home, 422 South First Street after 9 
o’clock Saturday morning.
