Catherine E. Moffitt died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Plummer Lightner 
of Barree Township, Wednesday morning, November 30, 1932 after an illness of 
two years.
She was the daughter of Israel and Mary (Young) Bigelow and was born in 
Huntingdon county, March 4, 1856, hence was aged at the time of death 76 
years, 8 months and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to William Moffitt who preceded her to the grave 
sixteen years ago.  She was a member of the Methodist church at Charter Oak.
Mrs. Moffitt is survived by one daughter and one son, Mrs. Plummer Lightner of 
Barree Township and Henderson Moffitt of State College.  She is also survived 
by one brother D.Y. Bigelow of Huntingdon and two sisters:  Mrs. Sadie Pugh of 
Youngstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Laura Crownover of Belleville.
			The body may be viewed at Temple's funeral home until 
Friday morning when it will be taken to the home of her daughter.  Funeral 
services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Mooresville 
Methodist church in charge of Rev. Joseph Rigby.  Interment in Mooresville 
cemetery
