Nellie M. Morgan

  Nellie Madeline Morgan, 88,.a resident of Woodland Retirement 
Community, Orbisonia, for the past two years and formerly of Colgate 
Road, Shirleysburg, died at 12:55 a.m., Sunday, May 18, at Woodland.
  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 21 at the 
Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Jim Hullihen officiating. 
Interment will be made in Shope Cemetery, RD Orbisonia.
  She was born August 31, 1919, in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon Co. 
and she was the daughter of the late John F. and Louise (Runk) Whitsel. 
She was married to Howard M. Morgan on June 28, 1941. Mr. Morgan 
preceded in death on May 15, 1986.
  Mrs. Morgan is survived by three sons and one daughter: Robert Morgan 
of Three Springs; Albert Morgan of Shirleysburg; Linda Wise of 
Shirleysburg and Boyd Morgan of Shirleysburg.
  Also there are 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one 
great-great granddaughter.
  She is preceded in death by two brothers, Ned Whitsel and Paul 
Whitsel and two sisters, Sue Senn and Florence Whitsel along with two 
grandchildren.
  Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, 
Shirleysburg. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship Group of the 
church where she guided many quilting projects. She taught Bible School 
and was choir director for many years.
  She was a school bus driver for 23 years. She was homemaker and a 
farm wife. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Women Society.
