On Tuesday of last week, a son of Mr. Samuel Mosser, of West township in this county aged about eleven years, was engaged in harrowing a field that had been sown in oats, when his horse took fright it is supposed from one of the swingle trees coming unhooked from the butt chain. When the horses commenced running, the boy being greatly frightened leaped from the near horse which he was riding, but unfortunately did not get away from them far enough and the harrow struck his forehead and tore and fractured his skull to an alarming extent. A part of his brains were picked up about fifteen feet from where he was lieing. We have not learned whether he is yet dead, but it is supposed that he can in no event recover. The Messenger, Huntingdon, Pa., April 22, 1846
