Almost Killed in Sunday Night's Riot, Dies From Wounds. Nick Mutzerell, the Italian, who shot and instantly killed Pasquelle Sebastian, and injured Sebastian's brother, Antonio, in a riot at Pemberton, Sunday evening, Oct. 9th, died at the county jail, at 6.30 Monday evening from the results of his injuries which were received previous to his shooting. In the riot four or five of his countrymen, who had become angered, resulting from drinking too much beer, jumped upon him and beat him unmercifully. A deep gash was cut in his head by the stones his assailants used. The police brought him to Huntingdon, where he was locked up in the Huntingdon jail and given medical attention. He was so badly used up that his death was expected at any moment, but his strong physical condition, only, kept him alive for over a week. His brother was notified and his remains given to undertaker, J. A. Dick, who prepared him for burial. Nothing is known of his family relations. Tuesday morning, Coroner Dr. Harman held a post mortem over the body and decided that death resulted from injuries received by being struck on the head during the riot. An inquest was also held with the same result. The remains of Mutzerell were buried in the Catholic cemetery yesterday evening at 9 (?) o'clock. Huntingdon New Era Journal, Wednesday, October 19, 1904
