Naugle "HUD", 68, of 6 East Shirley Street, Mount Union, died at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her family. She valiantly battled renal disease since being diagnosed with end stage renal failure in 1983. The funeral service was officiated by Pastor Stephen Motter on October 14 at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Interment was made in the IOOF Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. She was born April 23, 1939, in Shirleysburg and she was the daughter of the late Nevin and Dorothy (Bard) Love. She married her high school sweetheart, Raymond :Pete" Naugle in Hagerstown, Md. Pete and Hud just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 28th of this year. Along with her husband, she is survived by the following children: Brenda Cummins and husband, Bert of State College; Donna Miller and husband, Greg of Gilbert, Az; Josie Park and husband, Ralph of Mount Union; Cindy Naugle of Atlanta, Ga; Lisa Beeler of Mount Union and Ronda Baker and husband, Miles of Gilbert, Az. The following grandchildren survive; Rachel, Emily and Aaron Cummins; Colson and Cassidy Miller; Chelsea and Brenton Park; Alesha and Gregory Beeler and Samantha and Nelson Baker and great granddaughter, Reagan Yocum. She is also survived by a brother, Nevin Love, who resides with his wife, Sarah in Shirleysburg and sister-in-law, Madelyn (Naugle) Fix, who resides with her husband, Terry in Bedford. Madelyn resided with Mr. and Mrs. Naugle in the early years of their marriage after the passing of Mr. Naugles parents, Raymond and Madeline (Swope) Naugle. Mrs. Naugle was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Love, whose daughter Lou Lou was in the care of Mr. and Mrs. Naugle during her infant years. Her professional career included employment with Robin Footwear, Mount Union; Gerbo of Huntingdon; a caregiver to Mrs. Cloyd Taylor of Mount Union and 10 years as a receptionist for Park's garbage service. Mrs. Naugle will be remembered as a devoted mother, wife and friend who, despite her long-term kidney illenss, always kept a positive, joyful outlook and lived life to the fullest every day. Some of the activities she enjoyed included attending auctions and estate sales, playing bingo and spending time with her friends and family members. In the last years of her life, she found much pleasure in singing hymns of praise and was comforted by and fondly attached to her canine boxer friends, Duchess and Lady. She will be lovingly remembered for her uncanny sense of humor, the sparkle in her eye and her relentless zest for life. Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., October 17, 2007
