After he had fed his horses and cattle, Henry Nearhoof walked from his barn to the house, sat down on a chair and in an instant he passed into eternity. All his life he has followed the honorable pursuits of a farmer, and in his three score and ten years he has laid aside enough of the world's goods to take life easy. He was born September 23, 1830, at the old Nearhoof homestead, one mile from Warriorsmark, and has lived there ever since. He was never married. He leaves one sister, Mrs. George Gensamore of Centre Line to mourn his death. The funeral will occur on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be held at the home, conducted by Rev. J. W. Wilt, pastor of the Altoona German Baptist Brethren church. Interment will take place at Cross Roads. Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, January 22, 1908
