Mrs. Catharine Nearhoof, relict of Jacob Nearhoof, died at 11 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her son, Levi Nearhoof, in Warriorsmark valley, of old age. Her maiden name was Catharine Grazier, and she was born 93 years ago on the same farm on which she died. At the time of her birth this was a very sparsely settled country. The deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters: Levi, I. Bell and Jerry Nearhoof, Mrs. William Burket and Mrs. Abednego Nearhoof, of Warriorsmark valley; Michael Nearhoof and Mrs. Mary Williams, of Bellwood. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. S. Long, of the German Baptist Brethren church, at her late home, at 10 o'clock this morning. Interment in Cross Roads cemetery. Morning Tribune, Tuesday, December 19, 1899
