Daniel Nearhoof,

Of Warriorsmark, died on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at his 
residence, aged 67 years, 5 months and 22 days.  Dropsy and heart 
failure were the cause of death.  Funeral from his late home, Tuesday 
morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment at Cross Roads cemetery.

A Fatal Baptism.

  The Tyrone correspondent of the Harrisburg Patriot of Tuesday says: 
"Daniel Nearhoof, of Warriorsmark, while being immersed at that place 
on Sunday by the Rev. J. W. Wilt, of Altoona, of the Dunkard faith, 
died immediately after the ceremony had been performed.  He had been 
suffering from dropsy and was a very poor subject for such vigorous 
treatment.  No physicians had been consulted in the matter at all, or 
perhaps the man's life would have been saved.
