Nearhoof, 71, of 1758 Mountain Laurel Court, Warriors Mark, died unexpectedly April 25, 2006 at Altoona Regional Health Systems. She was born October 10, 1934 in Warriors Mark, the daughter of the late Juliet (Ellenberger) Harpster and Robert L. Harpster. She was married June 30, 1956 at Warriors Mark Methodist Church to John H. Nearhoof, who survives. Also surviving is one daughter: Cathy Jo and husband L. Max Miller of Warriors Mark; two brothers and two sisters: R. Wayne and wife Marg of Spruce Creek, Virginia G. Harpster of Julian, J. Winston of Crystal River, Fla. and Glenda H. Shearer of Lock Haven. She was preceded in death by an infant brother. Mrs. Nearhoof was a life member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Warriors Mark School and a 1956 graduate of Shippensburg University. She was employed by the Tyrone Area School District teaching first grade at Warriors Mark for 37 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Warriors Mark-Franklin Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Aux. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held April 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Place of burial is Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends will be received at the Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church, P.O.
