WHITSEL, 74, formerly of Three Springs, R.D., died at 9:05 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia. Born May 1, 1926, in Lack Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ola (Smith) Lauver. She was married to Ned J. Whitsel Sr., who preceded her in death in 1958. One son, Ned J. Whitsel of Three Springs, R.D., survives, along with two granddaughters and two great- grandsons. Three brothers, Lester Lauver, Leo Lauver and Eugene Lauver, all of York, also survive. Mrs. Whitsel attended the Cromwell United Bible Church, Three Springs, R.D., and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Madden-Wennick Post No. 518 American Legion in Rockhill Furnace. For 30 years, she was the owner/operator of June Whitsel's Beauty Shop at Three Springs, R.D. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. Tex Dunbar officiating. Interment will be made in Monroe Valley Cemetery, Three Springs, R.D. Helen B. SHAFER, 83, of 324 S. Shaver St., Mount Union, died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at her residence. Born Dec. 30, 1916, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Rachel (Speck) Brandt. She was united in marriage to Ira R. Shafer, who survives at their home. One daughter, Ann S. Bierbower of Fresno, Calif., survives. There are two grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother survive. Mrs. Shafer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Mount Union. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Harold G. "Gebb" SNYDER, 83, of R.D. 1, Box 2131 Three Springs, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at his home, following a brief illness. Born Feb. 8, 1917, in Mudtown, Clay Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Murphy) Snyder. He was united in marriage to Thelma Hoffman July 13, 1946, in Three Springs. His wife survives, along with the following children: Penny J. Knepper of Waterfall, Harold "Joe" Snyder, Hustontown, and Trudy K. Snyder and Marty W. Snyder, both of Three Springs. There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One sister, Ruth Singleton of Baytown, Texas, survives. Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by one grandson and the following brothers and sisters: Wendell L. Snyder Lodema Hoover, Grace Getz, and an infant brother, Melvin Snyder. Mr. Snyder graduated from Mount Union High School in 1936. A veteran of World War II, he served in Asia in the Pacific Theatre of Operations with the U.S. Army, Company D., 185th Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He retired March 1982 from the U.S. Government in Fort Ritchie, Md., after more than 20 years of service. Prior to this, he had worked at the Silica brickyard in Mount Union on construction and coal mining. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. Mr. Snyder attended the Center United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor George W. Clippinger officiating. Interment will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Dolores Lorraine TREASTER, 71, of Centre Crest, Bellefonte, formerly of Centre Hall, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in Bellefonte. Born Oct. 5, 1929, in Yeagertown, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Eva Broome. She was united in marriage to Vincent "Vince" Treaster Jan. 27, 1956. He preceded her in death July 31, 1998. Her husband was a renowned horse trainer. Surviving are three daughters: Joanne Kahley of Lewistown, Shawnee Turek of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patti Rowles of Centre Hall, R.D. There are three grandchildren. Mrs. Treaster graduated from Derry Township High School in Lewistown in 1947. She had been employed by Suburban Propane and Corman Insurance then became a homemaker and assisted her husband with horse training and showing on their farm near Centre Hall. They also trained horses in Huntingdon County and some distant relatives survive in the Huntingdon area. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at the Mark. D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, Centre Hall, with the Rev. George A. Burn officiating. Interment will be made in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Colyer. Maxine Elizabeth LYNN, 85, of Manahawkin Nursing Home, Manahawkin, N.J.. formerly of Saxton, died Friday, Oct. 6. 2000, at 6:15 a.m., at the nursing home. She had been in failing health. Born April 9. 1915, in Defiance, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Bertha (Manley) Foore. She was united in marriage to Chester Leroy Lynn Aug. 23, 1933, in Cumberiand, Md. He preceded her in death March 10, 1973. Two sons, Carl A. Lynn or Orangeville and David L. Lynn of Beach Haven Park. N.J., survive. There are five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A twin sister, Mary Wilkins of Fairless Hills, survives. A 1932 graduate of Broad Top High School, Mrs. Lynn attended the Fairless Hills United Methodist Church. She was primarily a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 10:30 a.m., at the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton, with Pastor John Robinson officiating. Interment will be made in the Grandview Cemetery, Saxton, R.D. Bryan David SHOPE, 32, of 313 William Smith St., Huntingdon, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at 7:47 a.m., at the Altoona Hospital, following a long illness. Born Oct. 31, 1967, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Donald Roy Shope and Alice Rae (Everetts) Wagner. His fathers survives in Cassville and his mother in Huntingdon. Also surviving are the following siblings: Curtis Alan Shope of Cassville, Mrs. K. Douglas (Dawn Marie) Kurtz, Steven L. Shope and Ronny Lee Wagner, all of Huntingdon. His two grandmothers, Madeline Shope of Cassville and Jane Everetts of Belleville, survive. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Raymond J. Everetts and Donald W. Shope. Mr. Shope was most recently employed by J.E. Culbertson Company, Inc., before his illness. He attended the Huntingdon public schools and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his dog, Tish. A lifetime resident of Huntingdon, he had lived at current William Smith Street home since 1986. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at 2:30, p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. The Rev. Georgetta Hartley will officiate. Marie Elizabeth MITCHELL, 86, formerly of Three Springs, and for the last five years of Port Royal, R.D. 1, died at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital. Born April 19, 1914, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Amos Walter and Esther Violet (Rutherford) Fultz. She was married to Walter L. Mitchell Nov. 15, 1935. Mr. Mitchell preceded her in death June 8, 1968. Surviving are the following childrcen: Norma Snyder, Three Springs; Joanne Bickel, Mapleton; Anna Mae Walters, Hustontown; Irvin Mitchell, New Castle, Del.; Paul Mitchell, Donlow, W.Va.; Thomas Mitchell, Mapleton; George Mitchell, Three Springs; Peggy Towsey, Port Royal; and Richard Mitchell, Three Springs. Two stepchildren, Eugene Mitchell of Fayetteville, N.C., and William Mitchell of Three Springs, survive. There are 45 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mariam Woodcock of Sunbury, survives. One stepson, two stepdaughters, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Three Springs Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Harry Edward "Dutch" AYERS, 83, of Barree Township, Petersburg, R.D. 1, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at 4:15 p.m., at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Hollidaysburg, following a long illness. Born Aug. 8, 1917, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Harry T. and Ruth R. (Irvin) Ayers. He is survived by four brothers: Paul Ayers of Cleveland, Ohio; William Ayers, Jacob Ayers and James Ayers, all of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Earl, Raymond, Charles, Donald and Kenneth Ayers. Mr. Ayers was a Barree Township supervisor and also worked at the family farm in Barree Township for many years. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Ayers was a member of Cloyd K. Davis American Legion Post No. 150, Petersburg. He was of the Protestant faith and was a life-time resident of the Juniata Valley. Funeral serv- ices will be held at 11 a.m. Tues- day, Oct. 10, at the Cutright- Speck Funeral Home, Juniata Valley Chapel, 412 Main St., Alexandria, with the Rev. Shirley J. Russell officiating. Interment will be made in the Manor Hill Cemetery. Robert C. "Ted" DEIHL, 83, of Box 362, Logan Township, Alexandria, R.D. 1, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at 3:50 p.m., at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, following a brief illness. Born June 25, 1917, in Petersburg, he was the son of the late George Barnum and Cota Augusta (Thatcher) Deihl. He married Rachel Marie Magill Sept. 7, 1939, in Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Deihl, his wife of 61 years, survives at their Logan Township home, along with two sons: Richard Denton Deihl of Pierson, Fla., and James William Deihl of Sinking Valley. There are 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Ray, George and Veryl Deihl, preceded him in death. Mr. Deihl was employed by Harbison-Walker Refractories in Alexandria as a kiln fireman until the company closed. He was also a farmer on his land since 1950. He was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed working with his farm animals, especially cows and chickens. A 1935 graduate of Petersburg Vocational High School, he was a lifetime resident of the Petersburg area and had lived at his Logan Township home since January 1969. Private funeral services will be held at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home, Juniata Valley Chapel, 412 Main St., Alexandria, with the Rev. Robert G. Maurer officiating. Interment will be made on the family proderty in Logan Township. Harriet L. GLADFELTER, 79, of HCR 61, Box 524, Mill Creek, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at 7:10 a.m., at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Oct. 15, 1920, in Mill Creek, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Rutherford) Henry. She was united in marriage to Leroy M. Gladfelter Sr. Feb. 1, 1941, at Huntingdon, R.D. 3, by the Rev. Sowash. He preceded her in death July 2, 1981. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Bohn (Janice L.) Hoover, Huntingdon; Leroy M. Gladfelter Jr., McVeytown; Dennis H. Gladfelter, Stanley, Va.; William A. Gladfelter and Mrs. William (Kathryn L.) Collins, both of HCR 61, Mill Creek. There are 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. One son, Donald, preceded her in death. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Ellsworth. Mrs. Gladfelter was of the Protestant faith. A 1939 graduate of Huntingdon High School, she was primarily a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Raymond C. Crownover officiating. Interment will be made in the Mountainview Cemetery, Mill Creek. Elizabeth A. GOSHORN, 94, formerly of Blairs Mills, R.D., died Friday evening, Oct. 6, 2000, at the Shook Home in Chambersburg. Born May 27, 1906, in Mattawana, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Mary (Walker) Nelson. She was united in marriage to Ira W. Goshom Sept. 22, 1945, in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg, by the Rev. Andrew Warner. Mr. Goshorn preceded her in death Feb. 29, 1992. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Mrs. Goshorn was preceded in death by two brothers, Walker Nelson and Jesse Nelson, and three sisters, Hilda N. Harper, Mary N. Myers and Esther N. Sherrer. She is survived by six nieces and four nephews. A member of the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Goshorn attended the Neelyton Pine Grove Presbyterian Church for most of her adult life. She was a member of the Huntingdon County Farm Women Group No. 3, and a former member of Shirleysburg Grange. A graduate of Mount Union High School, she attended Juniata College, Elizabethtown College and the Pennsylvania State University. Mrs. Goshom was a school teacher in the lower Huntingdon County schools for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time visiting her family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. Alice Meloy officiating. Interment will be made in the Salem Cemetery, Blairs Mills, R.D. David Benjamin WYLAND, 69, of 116 E. Fourth St., Williamsburg, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, 2000, at his home. Born May 15, 1931, in Woodbury Township, Williamsburg, R.R. 2, he. was the son of the late James K. and Margaret V. (Hutchison) Wyland. He was married to Carrol Ann Ringler-Dively Jan. 5, 1952, in Hollidaysburg. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1998. Surviving are four sons and three daughters: David B. Wyland Jr. and Daniel A. Wyland, both of Williamsburg; Daryl P. Wyland of Duncansville; Duane M. Wyland at home; Davida A. Ross and Denise M. Allender, both of Williamsburg; and Donna M. Wyland at home. There are seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Edna Mae Williams, Hobart, Ind.; Edith L. Burki, Long Island, N.Y.; Carrie Jeannette Deters, Williamsburg; James P. Wyland, Williamsburg, R.R. 1; and Melvin L. Wyland, Altoona. Mr. Wyland was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Dollie P. Ponish, Orpha G. Imler and infant Mary Ester Wyland, John Benson Wyland and Harry S. Wyland. Mr. Wyland was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williamsburg. He retired as a packer/laborer from SKF, Altoona,, after 17 years of service. Prior to that, he was employed at Blank Book Co., Roaring Spring, J.C. Yenter Construction in Tyrone and WESTVACO Paper Mill in Williamsburg, as a paper machine backtender for 24 years. He attended the Robeson Extension and Williamsburg schools. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Wyland served with Easy Company, 15th Infantry Regiment, Third Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart June 11, 1953, in North Korea Outpost Harry. Mr. Wyland enjoyed walking, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Bonner- Sollenberger American Legion Post, Williamsburg; Williamsburg VFW Post; Disabled American Veterans Chapter, Altoona; Williamsburg Sportsman Association; and was a former member of the NRA. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Bernard L. White officiating. A committal service with full military honors will be held at the Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona. Kenneth Y. WILSON, 78, of 1499 Lakeshore Dr., Chambersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at 8:19 a.m., in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital. Born Dec. 21, 1921, in Orbisonia, he was the son of the late Hugh and Elsie (Reck) Wilson. He married Jean Myers June 26, 1948. Mrs. Wilson survives at home, along with three children: Mrs. Thomas (Tamara W.) Massingale, Mrs. Mark (Robin L.) Kovach and Mrs. John (Kenna Dee W.) Swan, all of Chambersburg. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Two sisters, Martha Vaughn of Bath and Mrs. Landis (Audrey) Myer of New Holland, and a brother, Richard Wilson of Lancaster, survive, along with a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded him in death. A 1941 graduate of Mount Union, Mr. Wilson was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot for 33 years, retiring in 1983. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg. Mr. Wilson was also a life member of Wesley Yeager Post No. 606, American Legion in Fort Loudon; was a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post No. 1599, VFW, Chambersburg; Patriotic Order Sons of America, Orrstown; George Washington Lodge No. 143, F&AM, Chambersburg; Chambersburg Mall Walkers Club; and Golden Horizons Club at Patriot Federal Credit Union, Chambersburg. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Wilson enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as gardening and birdwatching. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m., at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Dr. Neal O. Hvely and the Rev. Patrick B. Jones officiating. Interment will be made in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Lillian R. BARGER, 69, formerly of DeForrest Apartments, Huntingdon, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at 4:12 a.m, at Huntingdon Manor, where she had resided since March 24, 1907. Born June 28, 1931, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Clyde R. and Martha A. (Rinehart) Miller. She was married to Raymond C. Barger Sr., who preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1995. Three children survive: Charles H. Eckley of Mount Union, Darlene V. Eckley of Altoona and Charlann R. Redline of Huntingdon. One grandson, one great-granddaughter and three step-great-grandchildren survive. Also surviving is a sister, Martha M. Thomas,of Duncansville. Four children preceded her in death: Patricia Barger, Raymond Barger Jr., Linda Barger and Samuel Barger. Mrs. Barger was a member of Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witnesses of Huntingdon. She also belonged to the Women of the Moose in Huntingdon and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with Gary O'Brian officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Robert Allen CARSON, 36, of R.D. 3, Box 328, Huntingdon, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at 10 a.m., at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, from injuries sustained in an auto accident Sept. 13. Born Feb. 9, 1964, in Huntingdon, he was. the son of James and Karen (Schueck) Carson, who survive at HCR 61, Mill Creek. One son, Cody Carson of Huntingdon, R.D. 3, survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, Ryan St. Clair and Trey St. Clair, both of Huntingdon. One brother, Rod Carson of Kernersville, N.C., a sister, Pam Griffith of Huntingdon, R.D. 1, and maternal grandparents, Paul and Lynn Wamsley of Belleville, survive. His paternal grandparents were the late William and Elizabeth Carson, who had resided at Huntingdon, R.D. 3. Mr. Carson attended the Woodcock Valley Bible Church, James Creek. He was a member of the Alexandria River Hill Gun Club and the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company. A 1982 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School, he was employed by D.C. Goodman and Sons of Huntingdon as an electrician. Throughout his life he shared unconditional love and devotion to his son and family. He was an avid hunter with both rifle and bow and also enjoyed fishing, racing, riding four-wheelers and watching his son play football. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. George "Buddy" Baird officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lou Zannino. Interment will be made in the Goodman Cemetery, Huntingdon, R.D. 3. Zella M. HARRIS, 75, of RD#3 Box 198, Huntingdon, died Saturday Oct. 7, 2000, at 8:15 p.m. at the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born March 11, 1925, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Chester R. Sr. and Elsie (Christian) Harris. Her long-time companion, Benjamin F. Manning of Huntingdon survives, along with the following children: Mrs. Larry D. (Jacqueline M.)Cunningham, Fort Washington, Md., Milton E. Harris, Philadelphia; Andrew M. Harris, Howard; Anna F. Harris, Huntingdon; Benjamin F. Harris, Huntingdon; and Lori E. Harris, Philadelphia. Two grandchildren were reared in her home: Dorothy R. "Dottie" Harris, Arlington, Va.; J. Anthony Harris, Harrisburg. Two granddaughters and one great-grandson also survive. Ms. Harris is survived by two siblings: John D. Harris of Philadelphia and Nancy E. Howerton of Huntingdon. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Theresa Harris; sisters and brothers Chester,Elwood and George. Ms. Harris was a member of the Payne AME Church, Huntingdon. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Standing Stone Post No. 1754, VFW, Huntingdon. She was employed as a domestic worker in the Huntingdon area and then at Huntingdon County Weatherization. She was a 1943 graduate of Huntingdon High School. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Geraldine Daniel officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Mary R. STEVELOCK, 93, of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of 87 Juniata St., Williamsburg, died Sunday evening, Oct. 8, 2000, at the nursing home, following an extended illness. Born Feb. 4, 1907, in Williamsburg, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Rose (Kolich) Bartrich. She was married to Matthew S. Stevelock Sept. 14, 1929, in Williamsburg. He preceded her in death June 12, 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Helen L. Gardner of Shelocta and Debbie A. Lillibridge of Alexandria. There are seven grandchildren.and seven great-grandchildren. One son, Matthew S., preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1987. One sister, Barbara Baughman of Williamsburg, survives. Several brothers land sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Stevelock was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williamsburg, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Bernard L. White officiating. Private interment will be made in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg, R.R. 2. Shirley J. CONTRILLO, 48, of Dublin Mills Road, Hustontown, was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in Taylor Township, Fulton County, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born Nov. 6, 1951, in Three Springs, she was a daughter of Buford and Erma (Mack) Wible, who survive at Dublin Mills Road in Hustontown. Also surviving are three children: Billie Jo Elliott, Hagerstown, Md.; Mary Hall, Newburg; and Richard Elliott, Saltillo. There are four grandchildren. The following siblings also survive: Anna Mae Foor, Six Mile Run; Ralph Wible, Mount Union; Joseph Wible, Three Springs; Mary Smith, Robertsdale; Judy Myers, Hagerstown, Md.; and Richard Wible, McVeytown. Mrs. Contrillo was of the Protestant faith. She was self-employed as a health care provider for the elderly. Funeral services will be held-at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. David Sproull officiating. Beatrice L. Born June 16, 1910, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late James Lemont and Sara (Shoop) Hockenberry. She was united in marriage to Linwood H. Stull, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one sister, Florence H. Pittenger of Carlisle, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest K. Hockenberry and Van Hockenberry, and a sister, Margaret L. Smith. Mrs. Stull was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church, Carlisle. BULLETT, 81, of 91 Penn St., Huntingdon, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at 1:30 a.m., at his residence, following an extended illness. Born Feb. 28, 1919, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late John Milton and Florence Mae (Christian) Bullett. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jenkins April 27, 1947, in the chapel at Blair Park in Huntingdon, with the Rev. Duff officiating. Mrs. Bullett survives at home, along with one daughter and three sons: Anita Nwaobilo, Huntingdon; Dennis Bullett, Irvington, N.J.; Robert Builett, Ashburn, Va.; and Anthony Bullett, Cranbury, N.J. There are seven grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death in infancy. One sister, Mrs. Harrison (Florence Mae) Younger of Elmsford, N.Y., survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Howard, Paul, Sarah and Jane. Mr. Bullett was a member of the Payne AME Church, Huntingdon. He was a life member of Standing Stone Post No. 1754, VFW, Huntingdon; American Legion Post No. 945, Mechanicsburg; committee of the Huntingdon Presbytery; Meals on Wheels, Huntingdon; Huntingdon Area Habitat for Humanity; volunteered for the American Cancer Society Huntingdon County Unit and Salvation Army in Huntingdon, and was a member of Yokefellows of Huntingdon. Mr. Bullett was employed by Harbison-Walker Refractories, the Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board, was an office manager at Swartz Coal and Scrap in Huntingdon, and worked for Federal Veterans Administration in Coatesville. He had also worked for The Daily News in Huntingdon and Westvaco for 20 years as a shipping and receiving clerk, retiring in 1988. Educated in the Huntingdon public schools, he graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1939. He was a 1951 graduate of the Huntingdon Secretarial School and took a course at the National Radio Institute in Washington, D.C. During World War II, Mr. Bullett served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operation as a staff sergeant in the 90th AAA Battalion. Mr. Bullett enjoyed refinishing and reupholstering furniture and reading. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the John B. Naomi DIXON, 89, formerly of Huntingdon, R.D. 1, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at 4:10 a.m., at the Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born March 20, 1911, in Hollidaysburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Grace (Reed) Harker. She was, united in marriage to Byrd Dixon Aug. 6,1938, in Hollidaysburg. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1981. Surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Martha Colton of Huntingdon, R.D. 2, and Mrs. June Bickel of Dillsburg. She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister: Fay, Herbert, Paul, Kenneth, Virgil and Hazel Harker. Mrs. Dixon was of the Protestant faith. DYSARD, 45, of 605 Blair House, Huntingdon, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at 7:46 a.m., at her residence. Her death was unexpected. Born Sept. 16, 1955, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. Dysard Jr. and Merla C. (McDivitt) Dysard, who survives at Huntingdon, R.D. 1. Also surviving are three siblings; Sue Ann Dysard, Huntingdon, R.D. 1; Ronald R Dysard, Lewisberry; and Mrs. Jeifery (Miriam) Corbin, Huntingdon, R.D. 1. One niece and two nephews survive. "Buster" SMITH, 74, of Pennknoll Village, formerly of Hopewell, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at 2:20 a.m, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Born Sept. 22, 1926, in Langdondale, he was the son of the late Oliver and Hannah (Ritchey) Smith. He was united in marriage to Merriam J. Shab, who survives in Hopewell. Also surviving are the following children: Lonnie Smith, Roaring Spring, R.D.; Christa Patterson, Lakewood, Colo.; and Kerry Smith and Susan Smith, both of Hopewell. There are two grandchildren. The following siblings also survive: Dexter Smith, Riddlesburg; Charles Smith, Wells Tannery; Doris Leighty, Langdondale; Lucille King, McConnellsburg; Sandra Pavlicko, Hopewell, R.D.; and Sharon Grace, Hopewell. Three brothers, Curtis, Lawrence and Robert, and a sister, Virginia Rose, preceded him in death. Mr. Smith was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and the Hopewell Senior Citizens Center. He was a 1944 graduate of Robert P. Smith High School in Yellow Creek and graduated in 1950 from Shippensburg State Teachers College. He taught school for 38 years and retired in 1998 from Everett High School, where he taught chemistry and physics for 34 years. Prior to teaching in Everett, he worked at North Point Junior High School and Gray Manor Elementary School in Maryland. He was also employed at the Exxon stations at Pennsylvania Turnpike plazas at Cove Valley and Sideling Hill. A veteran of World War II, he served as a paratrooper with the llth Airborne Division in the Philippines and Japan. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., at the D. Ruth (Denny) DeFORREST, 76, of 2210 Taylor Ave., Huntingdon, died at 12:45 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. Her death occurred while she was undergoing rehabilitation from surgical procedures. She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Fletcher B. and Marian (White) Denny. She was united in marriage to Marshall B. DeForrest July 13, 1944, at Howard Methodist Church, Towson, Md. Her husband survives at their home of 38 years. She is also survived by a son and a daughter: Marshall B. DeForrest Jr. of Apex, N.C. and Jan D. McCloskey of Wilbraham, Mass. Also surviving are five grandchildren. Mrs. DeForrest was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She attended Baltimore public schools and graduated from high school in 1941. In 1946, she received a PhB in business from Dickinson College in Carlisle. While in college, she was a member of Chi Omega National Collegiate Sorority. During WW II, she was employed by the USF&G Insurance Company in Baltimore. For three years following the war she was employed as a personnel manager at Masland Ford Motor Company in Carlisle. A resident of Huntingdon for 48 years, she was active in the Huntingdon Country Club, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and held memberships with a number of Huntingdon area bridge clubs. She was also active with the Girl Scouts of America's Hemlock Council and was a Brownie leader. An avid golfer, Mrs. DeForrcst played over 120 courses across the United States and abroad. She also enjoyed bridge. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Doyle H. Klinger Jr. officiating. Interment will be made at Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. There will be no viewing or visitation. Robert Harry "Bobby" CAPWELL, 64, of St. Augustine, Fla., died Aug. 1, 2000, after a brief illness. Born Aug. 13, 1935, in Saxton, he was the son of the late George A. Capwell, and Grace (Kifer) Capwell, who survives at home. He was married three times: first to Marcella Weaver of Saxton, then to Madelyn Hagerty, who preceded him in death. His third wife, Toni Powell, survives in St. Augustine Beach, Fla. One daughter, Michelle Kloske of Huntsville, Ala., and a stepson, Steve Shefflet of North Carolina, survive. One sister, Susan Robinson of Fairfax, Va., survives. Mr. Capwell was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Erie. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S, Navy from Sept. 16, 1954, until Sept. 15, 1958. RINKER, 78, of Orbisonia, died at 5.30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where she had been a resident for the past two months. Born Jan. 1, 1922, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late James McKinley and Esther (Barger) App. She was united in married to Max E. Rinker July 22, 1941, in Winchester,, Va. Mr. Rinker preceded her in death June 22, 1982. Surviving are a daughter and a son: Mrs. Larry (Brenda) Clark of Rockhill Furnace and Terry L. "Skip" Rinker, Orbisonia. There are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death. A sister, Peggy Potts of Orbisonia, survives. Mrs. Rinker was a member of the Rockhill Church of the Brethren. She retired in 1988 from Southern Huntingdon County School District, after 15 years of service as a secretary. "Smitty" ROSS, 80, of 6709 Tahalla Dr., Alexandria, Va., died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at 10:24 p.m. at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, Va. Born June 17, 1920, in Robertsdale, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Elizabeth (Weimer) Ross. He married Lucille Faye Bussard Dec. 17, 1949. She preceded him in death March 16, 1993. One daughter and one son, Marsha G. Savage of Alexandria, Va., and Robert Lynn Ross of Saint Thomas, survive, along with five grandchildren and one great-grandson. One son, Jeffry Shannon Ross, preceded him in death. Also surviving are two sisters: Alberta Black of Broad Top City and Gwendolyn Rossman of Pittsburgh, survive. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. A graduate of Robertsdale High School, Mr. Ross was employed by the CIA and served as a presidential courier during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. Later he was employed by the National Indication Center, in the Pentagon. He served in the U.S. Marines as a master sergeant and received numerous honors and awards. Mr. Ross was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Va. He enjoyed nature and spending time with friends. He was a member of the American Legion. Born Sept. 30, 1930, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Lillian (Lodge) Isenberg. She was united in marriage to Paul Rupert in September 1974. He preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1984. Two daughters, Jann Cramer of Mapleton and Lu Ann Isenberg of Etters, survive, along with two stepsons: Cloyd "Sonny" Rupert of Huntingdon and William Rupert of Indianapolis, Ind. There are two grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and three step-great-grandchildren. One brother, Jack H. Isenberg of Newport, survives. A brother, Michael, preceded her in death. Born Dec. 22, 1912, in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Mary M. (Bair) Uttley. She was married to Herbert E. Booher May 15, 1940. Mr. Booher preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1987. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Oct. 5, 1922, in Saxton, she was the daughter of the late David S. and Emma A. (Boose) Rogers. She was united in marriage to Frank D. Shaffer July 15, 1961, in Harrisburg. Surviving along with her husband are a son, Albert Garisto of Harrisburg, and a grandson. Virginia (Baumgardner) SNYDER, 82, of Hollidaysburg, R.R. 2, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at the Altoona Hospital Center for Nursing Care, following an extended illness. Born May 8, 1918, in Aitch, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baumgardner. She was united in marriage to Richard A. Snyder in 1969, in Falls Church, Va. Surviving along with her husband are three daughters and a son: Connie Butler, Ohio; Dora (Seiber) Ingram, Huntingdon; Betty (Seiber) Burket, Huntingdon; and Samuel Seiber, Idaho. There are ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Snyder was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed reading and crafts. Memorial services were held at the convenience of the family. Dallas W. METZ, 79, a resident of Woodward, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at the Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Born Feb. 28, 1921, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Warren and Annie (Grove) Pattison. He was united in marriage to Anna Mary Bonifield Sept. 17, 1945, in Wichita, Kan. Mrs. Metz survives at home, along with a son, Dale Brooks of Ft. Worth, Texas. Five sisters also survive: Gladys Benson, Tucson, Ariz.; Wilda Shope, Alexandria; Janet Metz, Meadville; Mildred Ritchey, Huntingdon; and Phyllis Friend, Atascadero, Calif. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Metz served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, during World War II, Korean War, Cuban Crisis and the Vietnam War. He and his wife settled at the Bonifield family farm west of Woodward in the early 1960s. Mr. Metz was employed as a Shop Foreman at a local Chevrolet dealership and later provided oil field equipment service in Oklahoma and the surrounding territory. Of all his many talents, he will be best remembered for his outstanding smoked barbecue that he prepared both as a local restaurant owner and for many local civic and church events. He was a member and deacon of the First Christian Church in Woodward. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Kipp Wolfe officiating. Dorothy Marie STEGNER, 61, of 501 Main St., Alexandria, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at 11:55 a.m., at Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital, Altoona. Her death was sudden and unexpected. Born July 7, 1939, in Saxton, she was the daughter of the late John Clinton Jr. and Margaret (Luther) Donelson. She was united in marriage to Edward Stegner in 1956, in Robertsdale. Mr. Stegner survives in Holdenville, Okla., along with three children: Craig Stegner, Little Rock, Ark.; Mrs. Michael (Susan) Clow, Hinesville, Ga.; and Michael Stegner, Alexandria. There are six grandchildren. One son, Doug Stegner, preceded her in death in 1990. Five brothers survive: Tom Donelson, Blairsville; Bob Donelson, Yuma, Ariz.; Jim Donelson, King of Prussia; Jack Donelson, Youngstown, Ohio; and Darrell Donelson, Huntingdon. A graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School, Mrs. Stegner was formerly employed by Empire Kosher in Mount Union and later worked for a number of years at the Huntingdon County Nursing Home. She was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Huntingdon and enjoyed reading and cats. A longtime resident of Huntingdon County, she had lived at her Alexandria residence for the past 11 years. PENNEBAKER, 61, of 5678 Back Maitland Road, McClure, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at his residence. Born July 31, 1939, in Lewistown, he was the son of Howard and Esther (Long) Pennebaker of 5616 Back Maitland Road, McClure. His wife, Elda (Fisher) Pennebaker, whom he married July 21, 1961, survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy Lee Pennebaker, Lewistown and a brother, Kenneth Pennebaker, Troy, W. Va. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. Early in life, he worked for K. B. Aerotech and later was co-founder of Echo Ultrasound, Lewistown. He was an electronic engineer and owner/operator of Pennebaker Enterprise from 1983 to the present. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. John A. LAWRENCE, 82, of R.D. 2, Box 489, Petersburg, formerly of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Westminster Woods in Huntingdon. Born Jan. 4, 1918, in Steel City, he was the son of the late John and Rose (Biro) Lawrence. He was united in marriage to Irene J. Churilia, who preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons and three daughters: John "Jack" T. Lawrence, North Catasaqua; Scott W. Lawrence, Bethlehem; Mrs. Patrick (Rosemarie) Lawler, Petersburg; Nancy A. Renninger, Freemansburg; and Mrs. Robert (Lisa J.) Kudera, Bethlehem. There are 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mary Csicsek of Bethlehem, survives. Two sisters, Katherine Phillippi and Anna Kovacs, and three brothers, Stephen, Joseph and the Rev. Francis Lawrence, preceded him in death. Mr. Lawrence was a member of the Saints Cyril and Methodious Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He was employed as a heat treater in the central tool heat treatment department at Bethlehem Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of USWA Local No. 2599 and the Catholic Sokals. Interment will be made in the Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem. Wilfred G. BUCK, 90, of Warriors Mark, R.D. 1, died Oct. 20, 2000, at his daughter's home in Martinsburg, following a brief illness. Born Dec. 4, 1909, in Warriors Mark, he was the son of the late George C. and Verna (Conrad) Buck. He was married to Ethel Hoover, who preceded him in death. His second wife, Frances Henry, also preceded him in death. In 1987, he married the former Jennie Tuskovich, who survives in Warriors Mark. One daughter, Mrs. John N. (Janet B.) Russell of Martinsburg survives, along with five grandchildren, 12 great-granchildren, and four step-grandchildren. Five stepchildren also survive. One sister and a grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Buck was a member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church, where he had perfect Sunday School attendance for 52 years. A 1927 graduate of Warriors Mark High School, he served on school boards in Warriors Mark and Tyrone, where he had been president in 1958. Born Sept. 13, 1924, in Mapleton Depot, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Walter H. Sr. and Ruth Coder Andrews. On Sept. 3, 1949, he married Elizabeth Bart, who survives at home. He was a 1947 graduate of Juniata College and a 1950 graduate of Hahneman Medical College in Philadelphia. From 1950 to 1951, he served an internship at York Hospital. Then he owned and operated a private practice in Centre Hall for nearly 30 years. He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed spending time at his summer home. (Morrison) Powell. He was united in marriage to Myrtle M. Ruby, who preceded him in death June 18, 1985. Surviving are two daughters and three sons: Judy M. Evans of Hanover, Karen K. Hull of Spring Grove, Samuel E. Powell Jr. of Tehachapi, Calif., and Bruce E. Powell and Kenneth W. Powell, both of Hanover. There are 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One brother, David Powell, preceded him in death. Mr. Powell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He received the American Theater Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Powell retired from Revonah Spinning Mills after 15 years of service. He continued to work part time at Perm Mar, Inc., and the Schaad Detective Agency. Born May 17, 1909, in Cassville, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Laura Bird (Smith) Houck. She was first married to Charles Ross in Alexandria Nov. 14, 1926. Mr. Ross preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1967. Her second marriage was to Charles Nelson in Mill Creek Aug. 20, 1971. He preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving are two sons and a daughter: Marshall R. Ross and Russell E. Ross, both of Alexandria, and Mrs. Thomas (Anita Eberle, Oil City. Two stepsons, Art Nelson of Murrysville and Robert Nelson of Tyrone, survive. There are ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Jack JONES Sr., 82, of Broad Top City, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Hunt- ingdon, following an extended illness. Born Feb. 28, 1918, in Wood, he was the son of the late William and Irene (Williams) Jones. He was united in marriage to Betty Shanefelter, who survives at home. They were married for 61 years. Also surviving are a daughter and three sons: Gerry Lynn Wityk, Huntingdon; Jack Jones Jr. and Edward S. Jones, both of Broad Top; and Andrew Jesse Jones, Harlan, Ky. There are two grandsons and one granddaughter. Mr. Jones is survived by the following siblings: Martha Rinehart and Hazel Leavelle, both of Broad Top; Rachel Stevenson, Dudley; Jesse Jones, Fairless Hills; and Glenn Jones, Flintstone, Md. One son, George William Jones, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Jones was affiliated with the Broad Top Church of God. He was a member of the Broad Top Area Old- Timers Baseball Hall of Fame and charter member of the Broad Top Land Lease (hunters' association). He worked in the coal mines for 41 years, including jobs as a motorman, master mechanic and superintendent for Delta Mining in Jennerstown, No. 1 mine in Boswell, and No. 9 in Wood. He also worked at road construction for Central Penn as an Euclid driver. Mr. Jones was an avid sportsman and hunter. He was a certified hole-in-one golfer and a fan of professional and college sports. He and his brothers sang together in a gospel quartet from 1955-1963. Kenneth Grundon officiating. Joseph M. ADLISH, 92, a resident of the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, formerly of 16 W. Garber St., Mount Union, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at the retirement center. Born March 10, 1908, in Sproul, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Kathryn (Katerinich) Adlish. He ,was united in marriage to Lola Taylor Aug. 30, 1941. She preceded him in death Feb. 19, 1981. Mr. Adlish is survived by his brother, John Adlish of Sparks, Nev., and his half-brother, Paul Buzinec of Bedford, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Ronald Taylor, who was reared in his home, and the following sisters: Mary Antich, Barbara Deming and Ann Pommer. MANSBERGER, 98, formerly of 631 Petersburg Pike, Huntingdon, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at 11:20 p.m., at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where he had resided for the past five years. Born May 4, 1902, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Florence R. (Pheasant) Mansberger. He married Mary W. "Peg" Potter June 26, 1929, in Turtle Creek. She preceded him in death Jan. 30, 1998. One son, Robert 0. Mansberger of Shirleysburg, survives. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Mr. Mansberger was of the Protestant faith. O'DONNELL, 73, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of the Mount Union and Mapleton areas, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at the Mifflin Court Assisted Living Center in Shillington, following a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 22, 1927, in Allenport, he was the son of the late John Mac and Della (Myers) O'Donnell. He was united in. marriage to Marian Covert Oct. 23, 1949, in Beavertown, by the Rev. E. E. Dunkleberger. The couple resided in Mapleton and Mount Union for most of their married life. Currently, they had been spending their winters in Florida and traveling during the summer months. Mrs. O'Donnell survives in Bradenton, Fla., along with a son, David L. O'Donnell of Wyomissing, and one granddaughter. The last surviving member of 11 children, he was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Frank O'Donnell, Kenneth O'Donnell, Melvin "Jack" O'Donnell, William O'Donnell, Thomas O'Donnell, Iva Merritts, Pearl Palmer, Martha Tate, Mildred Gladfelter and Ethel Henry. Mr. O'Donnell was educated in the Mill Creek public schools. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant during World War II, in the 349th Infantry Regiment in Europe. He retired in 1990 from U.S. Silica Corp., formerly Pennsylvania Glass Sand Co. in Mapleton, after 40 years of service. A former director on the Mount Union Area School Board, Mr. O'Donnell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Union and the Herman Smith Sunday School Class. He preceded her in death June 7, 1985. One daughter, Erma Jean Itinger of Alexandria, survives. There are three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Itinger Dec. 21, 1992, two brothers and two sisters: Harry Kephart, Lester Kephart, Ethel Waltower and Mary Bayer. Mrs. Itinger was primarily a homemaker She and her husband owned and operated Itinger's Greenhouse in Alexandria for over 20 years. She was a member of the Alexandria United Methodist Church, where she had been a member for 65 years and was the oldest member of the congregation. She was also a life member of the Alexandria Fire Company Auxiliary and a member of the Missionary Society of the First Presbyterian Church of Alexandria. A 1919 honors graduate of Huntingdon High School, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and music. She had been a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and had lived at her Porter Township home for 80 years. Born Feb. 15, 1931, in Todd Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late A. Fred and Lavada 0. (Saylor) Creswell. He was married to Roseann M. McNeal March 30, 1951, in Winchester, Va. Mrs. Creswell preceded him in death May 27, 2000. Surviving are three children: Stephen Creswell of Orbisonia, Randall Creswell of Cassville and Jeffrey Creswell of Morgantown. There are six grandchildren. Four siblings also survive: Dorothy Creswell Querry of Newry; David Creswell of Mount Union; Carl Creswell of Eldridge, Iowa; and Roy Creswell of Huntingdon. One brother, Robert, and two sisters, Sara Mae Creswell and Jane Ford, preceded him in death. Mr. Creswell was a member of the Cassville United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Raystown BASS Masters, American Legion Country Club in Mount Union, and Mt. Hor Lodge No. 736, IOOF of Cassville and had served on the Cassville Borough Council. Mr. Creswell attended the Robertsdale High School and was an avid golfer who enjoyed all sports activities, especially those involving his grandchildren. He retired in 1996 from Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. after 32 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville. Interment will be made in the Beavertown Cemetery, Todd, R.D.
