Lourene W. Ott

  Lourene Whitsel Ott, 76, of Orbisonia, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, 
March 26, 2002, at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon.
  Funeral services were held March 29 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral 
Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. Rick Eminhizer officiating. Interment was in 
Orbisonia Cemetery.
  Born Sept. 19, 1925, in Shirleysburg, she was the daughter of the 
late David R. and Virginia (Snair) Whitsel. She was married to Janvier 
F. Ott on Oct. 16, 1949, at Orbisonia. Mr. Ott preceded her in death on 
June 10, 1996.
  She is survived by two sons: Wayne P. Ott of Orbisonia and Gregory F. 
Ott of Fishersville, Va., and seven grandchildren.
  One brother, Kenneth Dewese Whitsel, preceded her in death on Sept. 
7, 1979.
  She was a 1943 graduate of Orbisonia High School and a 1944 graduate 
of Huntingdon Secretarial School.
  Mrs. Ott was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church.
  She worked for 20 years in banking with Penn Central National Bank in 
Mount Union and Unitas Bank in Three Springs, 16 years as a secretary 
at Southern Huntingdon County High School and served as a Cromwell 
Township tax collector for 27 years.
  Along with her husband, she owned and operated the Ott Mobile Home 
Park in Cromwell Township since 1969.
