Mary H. Pollock
Member of Germany Valley Church of the Brethren

Mary H. Pollock, age 93, of Mount Union, Pa., died at 6:05 p.m. on Sat., October 
15, 2005, at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, Pa. She died 
following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 27, 1912, in Three Springs, Pa.

Her parents were the late Josiah R. and Keturah (Cramer) Horn.

She and Charles I. Pollock were married November 19, 1931, in Hagerstown, Md., 
by Rev. J.M. Carter. Her husband died on April 17, 1981.

She is survived by two sons, Russel J. "Banker" Pollock and wife Shirley of 
Route 1, Shirleysburg, and Charles A. Pollock and wife Arlene of Chambersburg.

There are 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-
grandchildren; and one brother, Josiah D. Horn of Route 1, Shirleysburg.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Lois Druckenmiller, an infant daughter, 
Barbara Pollock, a son, Richard Pollock, and eight brothers and two sisters.

Mary was a member of the Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, where she was a 
former member of the church board and enjoyed helping with the quilters of the 
Sugar Run Church of the Brethren.

She was employed for many years at Robin Footwear in Mount Union and had 
previously worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg during both World 
War II and the Korean War.

She attended the Shirley Township schools.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Robert D. Heath 
Funeral Home, Mount Union, Pa. Officiating will be pastors Ernie Dell and 
Raymond Hill and interment will be made in the Germany Valley Cemetery, Route 1, 
Shirleysburg.
