[Ray] Palmer of South Division street, died unexpectedly at his late home at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 1957. He was born August 18, 1890, at Hill Valley, a son of Newton [David] Palmer and Carrie (Stunkard) Palmer. He was married to Edna Rohrer on October 12, 1911 at Gilboa, Huntingdon County. Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife and two sons, [Eugene] Leslie Palmer of Huntingdon and Ray Palmer of Allegan, Michigan. Two sons died in infancy. There are four grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Leslie [Newton] Palmer, Pontiac, Michigan; Mrs. Walter DeHorte [Esther Beulah Josephine Palmer] [correct spelling of surname is DeHetre] Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Alice Pilkington, Saginaw, Mich., and Mrs. Anna [Barbara] Longuaway [correct spelling of surname is Longueway] Detroit, Mich. One brother [Lark Preston Palmer] preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Methodist Church at Mount Union and a member of the Herman Smith Men's Sunday School class of that church. Mr. Palmer retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad in April, 1956, after 47 years of service as a brakeman at the Altoona yards. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the LOOM number 74, Altoona. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 24 at 2:30 p.m. from the Clark Funeral Home, Mount Union. The Rev. John T. T. Cummings will officiate. Interment will be made in the Germany Valley Cemetery. Friends are being received at the funeral home. Transcribers Notes: From a Mt.
