PARSONS FORMER SHADE GAP AREA FARMER, CONSTRUCTION WORKER Ellsworth H. Parsons, 69, of Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, formerly of HC 61, Shade Gap, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 1994, in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1925, at Blairs Mills, he was a son of the late Lester E. and Grace (Linn) Parsons. He was married to the former Norma V. Robinson on Sept. 30, 1944, at the Salem United Methodist Parsonage in Shade Gap. Surviving are his wife, at their home; four sons: Ronald L. Parsons, Sr. of Hagerstown, Md.; Barry E. Parsons, Chambersburg; Edward H. Parsons, Blairs Mills; and David Jon Parsons; Shade Gap; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters; Lorma Bebernes, in Minnesota; Gracie Goshorn, Shamokin Dam; Chester Parsons, Robert Parsons, Earl Parsons and Jeannette St. Clair, all of Blairs Mills; and Eleanor Fogal, Neelyton. One sister, Virginia, is deceased. Mr. Parsons was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of the Valleys, Spring Run. He was also a life member of the Shade Gap Area Volunteer Fire Company. During his life, he had engaged in both construction and farming. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. John Semple officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Blairs Mills R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m., and Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services. Valley Log, January 1994 Additional Comments: Father was Lester Elder Parsons.
