Patterson, 56, of Main st., Alexandria., died Thursday at 4 a.m. at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. Prior to that, she had been a patient at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, since Nov. 28. She was born Feb. 18, 1921, at Petersburg, a daughter of Nelson and Mary Campbell Dixon. She was married to Arthur W. Patterson Sr., at Tyrone, on June 12, 1937 by the Rev. John S. Colledge. She is survived by her husband; six sons and three daughters: Mrs. Betty Wilson, Arthur Jr., Richard, Kermit, Mrs. Helen Morningstar, William, Kenneth and Joseph, all of Alexandria; and Mrs. Norma Ormsby, of State College; and 19 grandchildren. One son and two grandchildren preceded her in death. She is also survived by five brothers and four sisters: Leroy Dixon, of Oregon; David, Allen, and James Dixon, of Indiana; Malvin Dixon and Mrs. Catherine Fitzgerald, of Vermont; Mrs. Dorothy Dixon, of Altoona; and Mrs. Ethel Walk and Mrs. Mary Bonsell, both of Tyrone. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Huntingdon, and of the Auxiliary to the Alexandria Volunteer Fire Co. She had been employed at Moser Poultry Farm, Spruce Creek, until its closing, and had worked as a cook at the Petersburg Transformer Co. for several years. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church, Shadyside ave., Huntingdon, with the Rev. Joan Houck officiating. Interment will be at Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends will be received at the Grove Funeral Home, Alexandria, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church in Huntingdon on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
