PATTERSON DIES UNEXPECTEDLY AT HOME NEAR STOVER William Steele Patterson, 49, of near Stover, died unexpectedly at 1:45 a.m. today shortly after being seized by a severe coughing spell. He was born at Hannistown, Westmoreland county, on Jan. 30, 1905, son of William Steel and Ada Rumbaugh Patterson. On April 14, 1938, he married Margaret Emigh, at Warriors Mark. He had lived at his present residence for a year. Prior to that, he had been located at Pitcairn for nine years, where he was employed on the Pittsburgh Division, Pennsylvania Railroad as a freight fireman. He was furloughed and came to Warriors Mark about ten years ago, where his family had resided. He was Presbyterian by faith, and a member of the Tyrone Lodge No. 25, L.O.O. Moose. He is survived by his father, at Beaver Falls, two children, Byron and Dora, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Edgar Nowlin, Jr., Warriors Mark; Mrs. Clarence Ellenberger, Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph Steel, New Brighton; James Patterson, Cannelton, and Robert C. Patterson, Newton Falls, Ohio. Funeral service will be announced tomorrow. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., March 26, 1954 FUNERAL SERVICE Funeral service for William S. Patterson will be held at the Cox funeral home, Warriors Mark, on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Elwood Bair. Burial will be in the Spring Mount cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening, until noon Sunday and from 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
